Le Relais is situated in a delightful and peaceful village, surrounded by glorious countryside of sunflowers, cornfields and woods, a nature lovers paradise. This lovingly restored 12th century Country post house has all you need for a perfect, relaxing holiday. You can go walking, fishing, beaches, canoe, play golf or tennis, dine out, all within 10 mins. The attractive, enclosed garden provides peace and tranquillity as well as areas for games and activities. Both, a paved area beneath a shady pergola and a sunny terrace, are ideal for alfresco meals.There is a very large, airy dining room (62sq.m) with a piano, seats 28, a spacious salon, comfortably furnished and with plenty of books, opening onto a Perigordian balcony and a large, well equipped farmhouse kitchen. Le Relais is approximately 5km from both St.Severin and Aubeterre, the 'jewel of the Charente'. The wine regions of Bordeaux, St.Emilion/Pomerol and Cognac are not very far and well worth a visit!

Lieu parfait pour réunion de famille ou entre amis

Lieu idĂ©alement situĂ© et Ă©quipĂ© pour notre rĂ©union de famille, cousinade-anniversaire. MĂȘme si le temps ne nous a pas permis de profiter de la piscine, le reste des Ă©quipements intĂ©rieurs et extĂ©rieurs permettent de faire de nombreuses activitĂ©s et moments de partage.

MAGNIFIQUE GITE

Nous étions 20 adultes et tout le monde a apprécié cette belle maison remplie d'histoires et pleine de charme. Le cadre est super, trÚs beau jardin avec sa tonnelle, lieu trÚs calme. Nous recommandons cette location.

We en famille

Malgré la météo capricieuse, nous avons passé un excellent we en famille dans un endroit trÚs calme : logement trÚs spacieux, on a apprécié l'équipement complet, la grande piÚce de vie, le salon cosy à l'étage et la salle avec le billard. Le jardin est trÚs agréable et la piscine sécurisée, on a pu déjeuner dehors - barbecue couvert trÚs utile - et de rares courageux ont profité de la piscine. La proximité des commerces (environ 10/15 minutes) est également trÚs apprécié et l'église souterraine d'Aubeterre-sur-Dronne nous a émerveillés.

La communication avec s'est faite naturellement. Elle a toujours ete disponible et rĂ©active dĂšs notre rĂ©servation. Elle sest montrĂ©e accueillante et arrangeante (heure d’arrivĂ©e, de depart, indications etc...) La maison est fidĂšle aux indications de l'annonce et bĂ©nĂ©ficie de toutes les commoditĂ©s pour adultes et enfants. En bref, un sejour hors du temps qui permet de se recentrer sur l'essentiel. Nous ne manquerons pas d'y retourner.

Nous avons passĂ© un excellent weekend dans le gĂźte de Barbara Ă  l'occasion d'un anniversaire entre amis ! Le lieu s'y prĂȘtait Ă  merveille, tant par le nombre de couchages, la beautĂ© de l'endroit, le calme Ă  proximitĂ©, la grande piscine et les jeux prĂ©sents dans le gĂźte. Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir une mĂ©tĂ©o exceptionnelle pour ce dernier weekend de septembre pour en profiter au maximum. Je recommande vivement cette location. Ludivine

On Ă©tait 23 et tout le monde a apprĂ©ciĂ© la location pour des raisons diffĂ©rentes - cadre super, calm, maison pleine de charme avec des recoins pour discuter tranquillement les uns avec les autres, les noisettiers pour ramasser les noisettes...Nous n'avions pas d'enfants avec nous mais plein de jouets pour faire le bonheur des petits ! PropriĂ©taire trĂšs accueillant et disponible en cas de besoin sans ĂȘtre intrusive. Weekend rĂ©ussi.

Wonderful multigenerational family holiday

We stayed in pillac with 10 adults from 74 to 34, and 9 children aged between 2 and 18 and what a holiday we had! The house is perfectly set up for family groups as each lot can take a "wing". A really well equipped kitchen enabled us to have wonderful meals at home... meat cooked by the boys and wonderful salads cooked by Barbara's friend. Barbara was super helpful and very easy to contact the whole time. The village was gorgeous but tiny..... about a 10 minute drive for any grocery shopping. Amazing towns and villages around, fields of sunflowers, kayaking, markets..... We all loved it, thanks Barbara !

Merveilleux week-end ensoleillé

Belle propriété au sein d'un village trÚs calme. Maison bien entretenue avec de nombreuses chambres et couchages confortables laissant à chacun son intimité. En famille Ă  Pillac !

Nous avons passĂ© un merveilleux week-end de pĂąques dans ce gĂźte. Une maison historique, atypique et adaptĂ©e pour un grand groupe. MĂȘme si la piscine n'Ă©tait pas chauffĂ©e en cette saison, nous avons pu en profiter (pour les plus courageux), et bronzer au soleil pour les autres. Je recommande cette adresse ! :) Les alentours du village de Pillac dĂ©tiennent un patrimoine riche, des domaines et vignes ... Nous avons pu nous rendre au marchĂ© de Aubeterre-sur-Dronne et visiter un domaine pour y dĂ©couvrir des orchidĂ©es sauvages et une production de Cognac et alcool VIVANT (Le Domaine Decroix) .

C’est un endroit parfait pour s’isoler tranquillement dans la campagne entre amis. Maison idĂ©al avec tout ce qu’il faut d’un point de vue logistique et animation! Nous voulions rĂ©unir nos enfants et petits enfants pour nos 40 ans de mariage et Le Relais s'y prĂȘtait bien Et nous aimons beaucoup la Charente. Superbe piscine pour petits et grands avec des jeux. La maison est assez grande pour accueillir tout le monde sans ĂȘtre les uns sur les autres. TrĂšs agrĂ©able car rien Ă  apporter; cuisine bien Ă©quipĂ©e De nombreux jeux pour les enfants petits et grands Nous sommes tous repartis avec de trĂšs bons souvenirs.

Lovely relaxing venue for a big group - thoroughly recommended

Barbara was a lovely, attentive host. The beautiful, historic place is set in a quiet village in an idyllic countryside location. Great pool and surrounds with plenty of shade for the ridiculously hot weather we had when we were visiting. The house stays lovely and cool. It was excellent to have everything we needed on hand from kitchen supplies and essentials to pool toys and badminton sets and loads of towels, linens etc. Pool room was fun and there was too much to do in the villa. We had a great time chilling out and connecting over BBQs and lovely local food and wine. We loved exploring the local towns and canoeing down the river as well as a slightly longer trip to Cognac. We flew in to Bordeaux and out of La Rochelle which was a fun way of extending our holiday! Thoroughly recommended.

maison de caractÚre en tous points conforme à la description. trÚs bien équipée, nombreux jeux et jouets pour enfants de tous ùges, terrain bien aménagé permettant de pratiquer diverses activités en groupe mais aussi de pouvoir s'isoler. idéale pour une grande famille.
