(944 reviews) The Alida is a beautiful hotel. The staff were excellent and friendly. You couldn't ask for a better location with easy access to River Street. The little touches made the experience more memorable. For one example, there seemed to be a scent theme from the time you walk into the lobby to the toiletries in the bathroom. The rooftop bar had amazing views of downtown Savannah. I had a uniquely shaped room on the north end of the hotel that had multiple windows, lots of natural light, and views of the Talmadge Memorial Bridge. If I had a criticism, there was a minor problem with the hot water getting hot and staying hot on our end of the hotel, but this didn't really take away from my enjoyment of the experience. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would love to come back! Checking in was easy and the receptionist was friendly and accommodating. She checked us in early and upgraded us to a river view. The rm was large and bed was super comfortable. One issue was the noise. Because of the historic building- you could hear the people above us walking around and you could hear the people next door.
