Welcome to Lothlorien Retreat! Entering this 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom true log cabin that comfortably sleeps 8, you'll get the full smoky mountains experience! This charming cabin has an unbeatable location! It's tucked into a quiet, wooded area in the hills while being only 5 minutes from all the excitement of Pigeon Forge. You will be located: \-5 min from the Pigeon Forge Parkway \-15 min from Dollywood \-15-20 min from Gatlinburg \-20-30 min from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park Enjoy the adventure of the mountains without dealing with any scary roads! All roads leading to the cabin are wide, paved and gently sloping. This cabin is located in the quiet and gated log cabin community of Sherwood Forest Resort. The neighborhood features include street lights, fire hydrants, city water and a 30' x 50' resort pool that is open between Memorial Day thru early September. Sherwood Forest Resort is located at the southern end of the Pigeon Forge and is convenient to Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The cabin is 5 minutes from the Pigeon Forge Parkway (traffic light #10) and is less than 5 miles away from Dollywood and is close to all the Parkway restaurants, attractions and fun. There are no steep roads on the way to the cabin. The parking area in front of cabin is on a flat surface with no incline and can fit 2 cars. Lothlorien Retreat is a 2 bedroom cabin that sleeps 8\. There are 2 king bedrooms and 2 full baths. One is located on the first floor next to the downstairs full bathroom. The second king sized bedroom is located on the 2nd floor with its own bathroom. There is a twin sized bunk bed in the game loft area. The game loft has a pool table and an arcade system, for an awesome throwback gaming experience! There is a sofa sleeper that sleeps two on a first floor. Linens and sheets are provided for all sleeping areas. Cozy up with a blanket by the fireplace while watching all of your favorite shows on our big screen Smart TV with basic cable and the option to log into your Netflix account or any other service you personally pay for. Cook something up on the grill and relax with a beer on the porch with a view of the forest! The outdoor porch features a 4 person hot tub to unwind after a day in the park. We also have a fully equipped kitchen to prepare meals if you're having a night in. If you want to work from home, we have you covered with high-speed internet. The cabin is also stocked up with board games and arcade games for your entertainment, not to mention a pool table! Even with my husband's F150, we still had enough space for the other car to park. The kitchen has literally everything necessary to cook anything (there was even a slow cooker to make the mulled cider we found in Gatlinburg!). It is dog-friendly as well, with plenty of places to walk the dogs, and a little dish is provided for food and water. It gets a little chilly when it's cold, but turn on the fire and it warms right up on both floors. The best part is how close it is to everything! Drive down the maountain and you're right at the Stampede, ten minutes from Dollywood and maybe ten minutes from Gatlinburg. A few more minutes drive is Sevierville, with tons of shops and specialty stores. The hosts keep in touch through VRBO, but they leave a number for emergencies, and are VERY quick to respond to any questions, both before and during the stay. It is easy to check in, and there aren't a ton of requirements when you leave (just things that most people would do anyway). Host communication was very quick to respond to our questions and concerns. Questions and minor issues were addressed appropriately and quickly. The hot tub was a plus. My teenage grandchildren loved the gameroom. Location was awesome it was close to everything but back in the woods for privacy! Wooded views from the deck were wonderful. The gated community was meticulously cared for, and the gated entrance provided an additional level of security. The arcade game upstairs features 100's of fun and recognizable and fun games. Everything was clean and functional. Plenty of comfortable room. Thanks for sharing your wonderful property!!
