The hotel is okay - it has a nice pool and friendly staff. Unfortunately, the rooms lack quite a bit on cleanliness. Our frist room had several large moldy areas, so we requested another. This was better but we had to change the bedsheets for clean ones, the fan was dark from old dust and you could find old trash behind the lounge chair. In general, the hotel really need to step up their cleaning-game. Our room was middle floor overlooking the beautifully maintained gardens and pool. Our room was exceptionally clean and well equipped. You could cook in the outdoor kitchen too. The people there were very friendly and very helpful. Quiet location but within minutes you can be at a money exchange, supermarkets shops and restaurants. The beach is about 10 mins walk. It’s run by such lovely people and the reception staff especially Alana and Peter are very helpful. We hired a scooter and did the Vinpearl Safari from the hotel. We were pointed out places of interest to visit by Alana. Overall we had a fabulous stay at Melica and we will return.
