The food was good. And the accommodation was comfortable. The only note that, I booked the ocean front, but I got the ocean view one: I’m not sure they have true ocean front one. Overall, I do enjoy my stay. The gardens are just stunning and the pool area is the perfect place to curl up with a book. What makes this resort the perfect go to is the staff, Sam is a gift and the entire team do not fail to deliver day upon day. The rooms are a little bit dated but the resort gardens, ammenities and dining options make up for the lack of modern room styling. There are plenty of dining options within walking distance but for the price point and taste factor we happily ate at the resort on multiple occasions, most certainly do the upstairs dining option of an evening, an absolute experience. If you want drinks and vibe pop next door out the back to the left for some drinks and bites and then pop back to the luxury La Veranda has to offer. The staff go above and beyond. Sam who leads the team really knows what makes a perfect stay. The hotel is nestled away in a busy area but it has this wonderful calming tranquil vibe. It's also spacious, from dining to the beach it's all laid out so it's very private. The food is excellent, and the cocktails are just perfect. The on-site spa is my favourite in the world, the staff are all fully trained massueses and it shows! We stayed at the beachfront suites. The rooms and facilities were clean and well maintained. Loved that we were just a few steps from the sand and can hear the waves. Beach was really nice. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. It is beautifully styled in a French colonial look, it has its own spacious beach area and pool. A great gym and free daily yoga with a wonderful Vietnamese teacher The staff are fantastic, the food is great. If you want to switch off and enjoy some peace and quiet this is the place for you. Please do tip the staff the average wage is $30 a week they work 6 days!! They pamper us into a state of total relaxation. The beach is wonderful. We can order drinks anywhere at pool and beach. A letter from the manager is very warm to us. An almond cake and cookies are amazing. Every aspect was perfect - lovely room, beautiful garden, stunning location right by the hotel’s own private beach. We lounged there every single day - and with white sand, clean beach and lovely calm water - why not? The breakfast was amazing and so was all off the staff we meet - everyone was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. If you want a place to stay where everything is well taken care of and you can just sit back and relax - this is it! After visiting places like Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, this was the perfect place for ultimate relaxation. Thank you to all the staff who made our honeymoon such a memorable experience! I am definitely recommending this to friends and if I return to the island, I will stay here the staff was above and beyond friendly. Sam, from guest relations made me feel so welcome from the onset of my visit. Luan also made me feel very welcome in explaining the property amenities. I pre-planned a massage and that was an amazing way to start my visit. I didn’t feel like I needed to leave the resort as the beach and pool were so lovely and quiet. The beach waters were safe and I knew the beach staff was looking out. The breakfast buffet was very good, I enjoyed the maid to order eggs and pancakes. The pastry section was very good being a solo traveler. I appreciated how extensive the in room dining menu was and how excellent the food tasted. I didn’t want to leave this property. We had a wonderful experience at this hotel and didn’t want to leave. I cannot come up with a single thing with this hotel that is not perfect. It might be seen as highly priced but it is not considering the standard and everything that is included in the price. The transport to the airport is included, sun beds at the beach are included. There are afternoon teas with a wonderful assortment of drinks and snacks a couple of times per week. There are also wine evenings serving wonderful wines a couple of times per week, everything included in the price. Everyone in the staff must have been hand picked as they are so friendly and in a very genuine way. The gardeners will greet you in the morning, the cleaners, the reception, staff in restaurant are all so nice and helpful! The driver picking you up at the airport with a fresh towel and a bottle of water- also so friendly and helpful. Breakfasts are incredibly good. So much tropical fresh fruits and everything else anyone could ever wish for. All served with a wonderful view of the ocean and green garden of the hotel. The hotel rooms are very clean and comfortable. When you walk to the beach the staff will quickly fix the sunbed for you with a mattress, towel and umbrella. The gym was well equipped and clean and open from early morning to late evenings. . There is a yoga class every morning. My wife had the best massage in her life at the hotel.
