Brilliant blue skies, but subzero temperatures, 15” of snow in a day or no snow for days, or 45 balmy degrees and mud. For this reason, we greatly limit access to the cabin during these unpredictable months. The cabin is generally not available November -through January. There may be limited availability in Feb- March. We see what April brings. Because of the unpredictability of the weather and the challenges winter may bring, I turn off instant booking and instead ask that if you think you’re interested, you contact us with an inquiry. We consider each request on a case-by-case basis, dependent upon weather, cabin accessibility, and individuals pioneering spirit and winter experience. SPRING, SUMMER & FALL ! ....so quiet you can hear birds sing, deer snort and if you want, yourself think! The cabin is located in a meadow/wooded rural setting approximately 8 miles from Philipsburg. The kitchen is well equipped & there is a BBQ. The cupola allows for stargazing from bed, a 1890's wood stove provides warmth and ambiance.
