That said, we live in a residential neighborhood and cannot have loud noise or music on the roof top. THE NEIGHBORHOOD: Located in downtown Philadelphia (Newbold/Point Breeze), the neighborhood is highly sought after as the most up-and-coming in the city and has been experiencing great transformation. A short ride to all tourist attractions (Independence Hall/Liberty Bell), Rittenhouse Square (just 13 blocks), festivities, great restaurants, shopping, and whatever else you may need. Free street parking surrounds the property and in the neighborhood. One of the seats on the roof was broken, the half bathroom sink was clogged, many of the floors were not mopped, the bathrooms were not cleaned thoroughly and there was debris on the upstairs bathroom wall that looked like they mopped the floor and used the same mop, without rinsing, to clean the walls. Not knowing Philadelphia at all, the reason we chose this place was the rooftop, which we used each day/night. It wasn't the most elaborate place to stay, but it worked well for us. (We were there for my brother's funeral, so we were grateful to have a place for all of us to be together.) The owner was easily reached and kept us well informed when necessary. The location was interesting. We're used to living in a house with a lot of land and a driveway, so staying in a rowhouse was a real change of pace for us.....not a bad one.
