I book a lot of travel for work and this one kind of got lost in the mix for me. When I pulled in I was quite disappointed thinking I had booked myself for some sort of motel. I knew there had to be a reason why I booked it so I went ahead and checked in and when I got to my room and opened it I was so pleasantly surprised. All the rooms have been renovated. They look beautiful. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. It was quiet and relaxing. We were in town visiting family for a long weekend. This place seems to what recently was a pay-by-the-hour motel, now under renovation. The room itself was nice, but the parking area seemed sketchy. The lobby: wasn’t clearly marked, smelled like a bathroom, what appeared to be bullet-proof glass (?) at the check-in counter. The worker was polite and prompt after I rang the service bell. The room: the wall-unit AC was turned off when we entered and the room was hot and stuffy. We turned it on and left for a few hours, and it had cooled down by the time we returned. The toilet had urine and hair under the seat, the shower had hair stuck to curtain No coffee on site, although there were soda and snack vending machines. Dunken located a few miles away. Pros: aside from the bathroom, the room was clean and comfortable. The service was good, but some of motel was a little trashy (lots of renovations being done so they are clearly working on it) and the people were sketchy. There are a few different buildings and I paid extra to upgrade to one of their renovated rooms and the room itself was very nice and tucked into the back. No one bothered me and the actual room was safe and very nice for the price I got. The door to the room has one lock on the door knob, the type of lock you would have on a bathroom, no deadbolt. The bathroom did not have a toilet paper holder, the roll was just sitting on the sink . The water pressure on the bathroom sink was basically dripping water.
