We spent most of our time at a family member's house nearby. The apartment was clean and had plenty of towels. I only found one washcloth, so it would have been nice to have more. We just used hand towels instead, so no big deal. It was easy to find and there was plenty of parking. The place has a really cool feel and plenty of room for the family. Everything appeared very clean and organized. The only issue I came across were a few large bugs. I wasn’t too surprised considering it is directly next to the water, and I did let the owner know. Otherwise the stay was great, easy communication and access to the area. We were enthralled when we got there and were in awe of the "cool" factor! But we ran into some snags... 1\. The downstairs shower had no hot water...or so we thought. After much trial, error, and frustration, we figured out that if we ran hot water in the bathroom sink, we could get hot water in the shower. But only a light drizzle. Running the hot water in the sink took away from the water pressure in the shower. 2\. Trying to get the ceiling fan on but the attached light off was a challenge in the back bedroom. We had to perform quite a balancing act to get to it. Longer cords would be much more convenient. 3\. While cooking breakfast Sunday morning, we opened the microwave to discover a moldy, smelly container of queso. It smelled so bad we were afraid to use the microwave for fear our food would absorb the nasty smell. 4\. Based on the microwave, the windowsills, room corners, closets, etc, the cleaning prior to our arrival had only been surface. We weren't comfortable using the couch covers or the blankets provided in the front room. ##### Melissa N. Séjour de 2 nuits en juin 2022 ### 8/10 – Bien #### Seccoyah D. 16 mai 2022 Points forts : Propreté #### Convenient and Comfy Pros: Spacious 2 levels Bathroom on each level Nice kitchen area Nice eating area w/ stools Tasty restaurant downstairs Provided toilets like soap, shampoo and towels Fridge could store all our groceries Couches were comfy Nice lighting in the bathroom plus a make up mirror Free parking available Multiple restaurants in that street Nice serene view of the river Host was responsive to messages Cons: Shower turns cold after a short 7 minutes or so Bathroom light went out and there was no quick fix for it. No directions on how to work the lights or tv Leather in the couches was peeling No seasonings in the kitchen No garbage in the bathrooms (ladies) Sound of freight trains was distributed ##### Seccoyah D. The apparent was big, roomy, and clean. They had all necessary things you'd need in a kitchen, including little things you may forget like salt & pepper. My girlfriends and I met in the middle (Peoria & Chicago) for a fun girls weekend; the place was so cool and there’s a fun bar next door.
