This was great news because our ferry was delayed due to the awful weather on the Strait. The owner was there at reception well after 9pm to let us in. The owners were also very helpful, told us where to get supplies from and even let us leave our bag at reception while we went into town. On that note, it's also very close to town too, just a stones throw. The room was comfortable (we had a private ensuite, note that hand soap is not provided). The kitchen is well equipped with lots of seating. We weren’t able to sit outside to eat our breakfast as there were a number of chain smokers sitting at the outside kitchen table.
