At DuPont Forest - Newer cabin designed for relaxation and comfort.

Shoal Sound is located on DuPont Road with easy access to the miles of trails and breathtaking waterfalls of DuPont Forest. We are only 10 miles from downtown Brevard and Hendersonville. The cabin offers all you could need to relax or rest after a day of adventure. We have WIFI, satellite TV, comfortable beds and a large porch to just sit and relax

Bedroom one has a king size bed with a comfortable mattress and linens, satellite TV, Grandmas wardrobe closet, and an antique dresser. The ensuite bathroom is spacious and has a walk in shower.

Bedroom two has a twin trundle bed with comfortable mattresses and linens. The second bathroom is just outside the door.

The living and dining area features a gas log fireplace, large entertainment center containing games, books, DVD player and a large TV with satellite access.

The kitchen has all the features you would want and expect have to make your stay like being at home. All appliances are new - large refrigerator, oven, dishwasher, farm sink, granite counter tops, coffee maker, Keurig, and microwave. If something is missing, let us know, and we'll get it. We spared no expense to create a beautiful kitchen for you to enjoy.

The porches are sure to be a favorite of guests. Listen to the sound of Shoal Falls from the swing or rockers. We even put a dining table on the porch for you to enjoy the surroundings. A small porch off the back has a small table and a park style charcoal grill.

This beautiful, clean, well-stocked, very cozy cabin was perfect for our needs! It’s close to Brevard where we attended the Mountain Song Festival, and very close to DuPont Forest. We will definitely come back!

Such a great place, we came back again
We stayed here for a week in 2023 and came back for another week in 2024. The cabin is exactly as described in the listing. The owners are very pleasant and have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable. You can't beat the close proximity to DuPont State Forest if you enjoy hiking and mountain biking.

The cabin has everything you need for a great visit. The kitchen is well stocked. The bed is comfortable . It’s wonderfully quiet location. We have stayed twice which is all you need to know. While close to waterfalls, the wonderful Brevard music festival is also quite accessible.

Perfect House in Great Location!
My husband, two children (12 and 10), and I just spent two nights in this beautiful home and it was absolutely perfect. Very clean. Had everything we needed (and then some!). Great attention to detail in making sure we felt comfortable. Minutes away from amazing hiking trails! We absolutely loved our time here and would definitely return.

Absolutely loved our stay. So many amazing views to see. So much amazing food. Cute small shops. Everything is a bit of a drive away but that’s the best part, the peaceful atmosphere. The little lizards and other critters that come visit are so cute as well. 100% will come back again

The house was perfect for a nice getaway to hit the great trails at DuPont and Pisgah. The house location is perfect for those that truly enjoy all the DuPont has to offer. Highly recommend and will be returning for another stay.

My husband and I were looking for a place to get away for a couple of days, and we found it here in Penrose, NC. Connie & David's cabin was clean and comfortable, and it had everything we needed. The property was in a beautiful location and very well-kept. We highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit the Brevard/Hendersonville area.

We loved the property, the home was beautiful and clean, the area was quiet and was 20 mins in either direction of wherever we wanted to go. The only thing we kept forgetting that wasn't at the house was creamer. So everyday we had to go get a coffee but that's ok cause Grammys had good food! Wish we could have stayed longer, but September is right around the corner. Gonna see what their availability is for the Apple festival! Thanks for providing a charming stay.

A lovely cabin
We really enjoyed our stay! It is a lovely cabin inside and out in a quiet peaceful setting. It was a treat to sit on the porch listening to the waterfall across the way while a rabbit stopped by in welcome. Its roominess and decor encouraged us to spend time relaxing. We were delighted to be so near to waterfalls and vistas in the nearby parks both in NC and SC.

Cute little getaway in the mountains! We really enjoyed the fire pit and grill and the short distance to the hiking trails. Relaxing and comfortable. Enjoyed listening to the rush of water in the background as we sat on the porch. It was also a short distance to the shopping centers in Brevard and Hendersonville. Would definitely return!

Lovely Canin!
We’re so glad we found this cabin in this beautiful area of our country! It is clean, private and had just about everything one could need during your stay. It is convenient to Pretty Place Chapel, the town of Brevard where there are many quaint shops and some great restaurants (Square Root=favorite) and many scenic hiking/waterfall areas. It was a treat to relax in such a peaceful place. We hope to be back again!

Charming little house with great outdoor living space close to Hendersonville, Pisgah, Brevard and 5mins to Dupont. Absolutely an ideal location. Connie is very accommodating. I totally messed up our reservation and she was so easy to work with. We would come back here again.
