![Belem Tower is located in the town of Bethlehem, county and district of Lisbon in Portugal. On the right bank of the Tagus river, where there was once the beach of Bethlehem, it was originally surrounded by water around its perimeter. Over the centuries it was surrounded by the beach, even today incorporate the land.

One of the "ex libris" of the city, the monument is an icon of architecture of the reign of Manuel I of Portugal, in a synthesis between the tradition menagemde medieval tower and baluartemoderno where it had artillery pieces.

Over time the tower lost its defense function of the Tagus bar and, from the Philippine occupation, old barns gave way to the dungeons. "Good hotel in prime location. Stone’s throw away from Rossio square Christmas market and shopping area. Many dining options as well. The rooftop views are amazing. Supermarket under the hotel was very convenient. Also, tram 28 starts from the hotel, hence convenient to get a seat. Surprise dessert and wine upon check-in was a nice touch. We even got 1 free drink each from their lobby bar."

"Good location. The room is clean and spacious with very good sound proof, very comfortable mattress and big bed for two. Breakfast is ok, staff are very polite and friendly. The only thing to bear in mind is that you may need to wait for sometime to have the room if you arrive at the hotel before 3pm. Overall I would recommend this hotel. "
