"Quiet situation. The house is on quite a narrow impasse and the gate is not enormous. Anyone with a car larger than ours (Skoda Yeti 1m 75 cm wide) could find it a bit tight getting in and out. There are some parking spaces round the corner. All contact was with the concierge, timely and professional. The sea-facing terrace also faces north and can be bracing, but the one overlooking the garden is quite a sun-trap, and sheltered. There is adequate shopping in Asnelles with a small Carrefour...

"This was a delightfully comfortable stay in a classic family home. It honestly was so sweet and the backyard was a delight. We even got to cook out. The town of Houlgate is so charming and walkable. Make sure to visit the mid week market that is one block down from this home. Renting a bike from the local business gave more reach to our wanderings and the sunsets over the beach are amazing. This stay was a delight and Sophie was wonderful and so accommodating."

"A beautiful, spacious house in a secluded, peaceful setting. The property was spotlessly clean and equipped to a very high standard. The host was friendly, welcoming and proactive before and during our stay. The location is wonderfully quiet, but remains within easy reach of the towns and sights of the area.
