Located on Resort Drive beside the beach access to Rathtrevor Beach. Just a short pleasant walk away from unfettered beach access, sun and sand. Our 1200sq. ft. 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms cottage is equipped with a master suite on the main floor with an ensuite bathroom and queen size bed. Upstairs we have two twin beds plus another full bathroom. This loft space is perfect for guests and or children. Have extra folks or children? No problem, the sofa is a pullout queen mattress to accommodate those extra sleepers. We have a wonderful back deck that is very private and awesome for enjoying that sun. Patio table, chairs and umbrella are provided along with a nice Weber BBQ for your grilling needs. Lots of natural light in cottage with wonderful vaulted ceilings to really add to the space. The unit features a large kitchen with all the amenities of home, full size washer and dryer, and complete linen sets and beach and pool towels available for your use. There is also a large secure storage area for bikes, beach toys, skim and paddle boards and whatever else you want out of sight. This unit provides a wonderful space for families and couples alike as this unit is quiet and peaceful year round. No neighbours to worry about above or below as this cottage is a stand alone residence. The location here can’t be beat as you will be a short walk away from one of the most scenic walking/running/biking trails on Vancouver Island that winds its way through Rathtrevor Park while contouring to the ocean. The beach here is amazing with fantastic tidal pools and sundcastling fun. Enjoy the tide being out for fantastic walks, and views and enjoy some swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking when the tide comes in. Loads of excellent golf courses in the area, many of which are a 15 min drive from Resort Drive. Want to ski? Mount Washington is an hour North and offers a huge selection of runs and lifts. Come, unwind and relax at one of the finest locations on Vancouver Island. Enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings and the amenities of home. 5 min drive to grocery stores and further amenities in Parksville. Enjoy a meal at the Black Goose Inn just a 5 min walk away or take a trip into town to micro-brew Mount Arrowsmith for a beverage and some food. Want goats on the roof? The directions and key code were inaccurate but with ease we corrected and gained entry. The kitchen was great, only there 2 days so didnt use laundry. Cottage was clean, other than some dust. Towels were lovely fluffy soft, bed linens were fine. If we used the place again I would bring my own pillow and an extra blanket. Upstairs bedroom did not have extra blankets. Our only complaint was lack of lamps. One very small one in living room and none in either bedroom. It made reading at night impossible and upstairs was a safety issue with no light and an open stairwell. There was a nightlight by the bathroom but it was motion activated so did not light up near the stairs. Quick access to the beach, mini golf right next door, and the pool and hot tub were great for wearing out the kids. There are lots of biking and hiking trails in the area, and some great options for day trips in nearby towns such as Coombs, Cumberland and Qualicum Beach. The cottage itself was perfect for my family of 5\. The kitchen was well stocked, the washer/dryer was fantastic, there is loads of storage for clothes etc, and the patio space was very private and great for dining outside. We had no issues with check in or with the unit during our stay. My only nitpick is that the dishwasher didn’t work very well and was super loud, so it’s probably easier to just wash dishes yourself. Great set up with the 2nd bedroom for the kids being upstairs in the loft with their own bathroom. Close walk to mini golf and beach. We enjoyed visiting Englishmen River Falls Park, Coombs, the beach and Qualicum. It was less than a 5 minute drive to Rathtrevor Provincial Park. We spent several evenings down at the beach. The house itself was private and well-stocked with essentials. The furniture and bedding was comfortable. My only recommendation is to replace the stand-up fan that exists in the unit. It was barely blowing any air and was not helpful up in the loft. Also, more portable fans or a ceiling fan in the main bedroom would help with cooling. ##### Joanna A.
