However, we were under the impression that this was a private home rather than a three-bedroom hotel-style accommodation, which caught us off guard. Additionally, the listing described the property as "ski-in, ski-out," but the reality was different from our expectations. Instead of direct access to the slopes, we had to take an elevator from the 8th floor to the fourth floor, walk through multiple long hallways, and exit into the village center. From there, it was still a walk—while carrying all our gear—to reach the gondola. A more accurate description of the ski access would have been helpful, as we likely would have chosen a different location had we known. Since this is VRBO and not run by the hotel, it lacks a few amenities like bathrobes and we needed to go through the property manager to get some basic things like a roll-away bed, but the property manager was very responsive. The Westgate pluses: best amenities, like indoor/outdoor pool, yoga, SPA, skier services. But, I feel like once I figured it out, it wasn't too bad. The unit worked perfectly for our group. It had separate areas for each family. The balcony and view was the best part! WE lucked out and the best views for the Canyons Drone show and firework shows on the 4th. It was spectacular and it was a bonus that we could sit in the hot tub and watch them. It was nice to have the option of the ammenities at the Westgate (pool, tennis, arcade).
