Although the location is advertised as a hotel, this is a misnomer as the rooms are individually owned and vary enormously as to the equipemet etc inside, and although the staff at reception are pleasant, it is not the usual welcome of a hotel. On arrival, I was told there were plenty of places nearby to eat - as a result I wandered in entirely the wrong direction, towards the ski slopes where most places were shut at 8.30 p.m. It would have been very helpful to have been told a small store was just 5 mins away on foot, just as it would have been very helpful to have been presented with a map and bus timetables. Yes, these are available (although the bus timetables turned up a few days into my stay) but at most hotels I have stayed at, staff always offer them - it isn't up to the guest to look. The room was ok, although no utensils, cutlery etc to cook with or eat. The shower was nice and large but the water difficult to regulate. The cleaners forgot to clean the room one day. The swimming pool is more the size of a paddling pool. Finally the walls really are paper thin. I was on the ground floor facing the road - I can sleep through traffic but not through people talking in the next room or their television (which was lpouder than mine). the light from their room even came through under the adjoining door and I could smell the popcorn they had bee cooking. I had to call and wait for the individual to drive over from their home and give us our room keys. The next morning, we realized one of the toilets was broken. We called down and they had someone come fix it during the day. That evening, we all went to shower and realized that one shower, sink and the kitchen sink had no hot water. By then it was late at night, so we had to take turns using the other 2 showers. They never did get the hot water fixed while we were there. Minor things were bothersome....one of the blinds had broken parts, some of the shampoo/conditioner pumps were broken, and the couch/bed when pulled out was not working the best and had lots of dirt and dust. We really did like the property and loved the idea of our whole family staying together. We loved the idea of 3 bathrooms for 7 people, but ended up not being able to fully utilize one of the bathrooms, sadly. The apartment was fairly clean with nice beds and plenty of places to sit and visit. It was close to the ski slopes and main street. For the amount of money we paid, I would have expected it to be better maintained and that we wouldn't have experienced so many hiccups and inconveniences.
