Property Details: This 44-sqm apartment is located on the ground floor without an elevator. The living area is furnished with a sofa bed, flat-screen TV and dining table and can also be used as a work-from-home space. The apartment includes Wi-Fi, suitable for working from home and making video calls. The kitchen is fully equipped with a sink, electric tea kettle, toaster, mini refrigerator, stove, Nespresso coffee machine, microwave oven, and more. Full sets of dishes, cutlery and crockery are provided along with pots, pans and kitchen utensils. There is a clothes washer and drying rack for your convenience. An iron and ironing board, vacuum, mop and broom are available. The sleeping area is interior courtyard facing and furnished with a double bed with a comfortable, quality mattress. Professionally laundered sheets, comforters, pillows and pillowcases are provided to you, as well as bath towels for each guest. The flat has one bathroom accessible via the the hallway with a shower, toilet and sink. The bathroom is equipped with a hair dryer plus complementary toilet rolls, shampoo, shower gel and hand soap to start your stay. Our guests’ safety is our top priority, which is why the flat is professionally cleaned and sanitized before each arrival. The apartment is heated throughout during the winter months. There is no air conditioning, but portable fans can be provided upon request, subject to availability. The famous market street of Rue Montorgueil is steps from your front door, and offers a wide range of restaurants, boulangeries, cafes, butchers, cheese shops, fruit stalls and more! Both the Pompidou Center and the Louvre Museum are within walking distance to the flat. The beautiful Palais Royal and its secret gardens are also close by. With its close proximity to the Metro station Sentier (Line 3), Etienne Marcel (Line 4), accessing other areas of Paris is very easy. Just hop on the train to reach Opera, the Eiffel Tower, Champs Elysees and Arc de Triomphe, Montmartre and the Sacre Coeur and more! The Les Halles Station is a 5 minutes’ walk as well, giving you a quick link to Charles de Gaulle and Orly Airports from central Paris. It’s practical. It served its purpose at lest for us, but I have to confess it was a bit of a hustle to arrive in Paris with my luggage, then go to a specific place to retrieve the keys, then go to the accommodation. It’s a different experience than booking a hotel, checking in, and not having to worry about anything else! But if you’re okay with this kind of arrangement, great! At least the communication was good, I knew what to do, where to go, but all this information came in when I was halfway on my trip, so I had to adjust my plan as I went. When we arrived at the flat, the place smelled a bit like mold and we couldn’t air it out because there’s no windows. We couldn’t leave the front door open to air out the flat because it was cold and also for privacy reasons. The floor is too squeaky. The dishwasher is extremely loud! And the bathroom is an odd thing: the toilet and the shower are separated from the sink and vanity, so if you use the toilet you have to go all the way around to wash your hands - unless you are okay using the kitchen sink! The place had everything we needed: clean towels and bedsheets, dinnerware, and some supplies. There are lots of grocery stores nearby.
