Rustic Log Cabin #8 on Crow Lake at Bull Moose Lodge. Family and pet friendly
10/10 Excellent
"Our experience with a stay at this lodge was so incredible. We stayed in cabin #8, which was small but very cozy. Our family of 5 slept all together which we don’t get to do often so was fun! The kids all had their own bed as there were still 4 beds. We had a full kitchen and bathroom as well. The cabin was very clean and well prepared for guests. There is water front swimming and docks. We had our own dock off the side of our cabin which our son was out fishing off constantly. The water was crystal clear, very refreshing and awesome to swim in! We opted to rent a boat one of the days (which was very reasonable price) and go out for an afternoon around the lake. One of the biggest highlights for our kids was the access to water sport equipment. They had a kayak, canoe, peddle boat, water bike and floating mat at the beach area. It was great for our kids to get to use all the different things and kept them busy and entertained. Our kids have already said they want to come back every year. Gail and Cliff went above and beyond — they were warm, friendly, and truly thoughtful in making sure we all had a good experience. They supplied us firewood for a bonfire and were just around if we needed anything. If you’re looking for cottage/cabin type getaway with wonderful hosts and unbeatable lake access, this is it! "
"Our first impression of the camper was how cute is that . There were a few unforeseen road bumps, but we communicated with the host and everything was taken care of promptly. "
"Beautiful property in secluded corner of Lake of the Woods. Awesome having our own dock, and the fishing was fantastic. Sarah is a very responsive host and will make sure everyone enjoys their stay. "
"There is ditch between cabins 3 And 4 that makes parking beside cabin 3 very challenging . It has no warning flags or lights. No railings on the steps, causing a guest who uses a cane a great challenge. The curtains in the living room were in tatters and the rod wouldn’t work so the sun beat in and made the cabin very hot. The front door has a hole in the bottom and we suspect that is how we had a mouse visit us.
We had the misfortune of being stuck in the middle of a family gathering. There were 8 adults, 7 young children and 4 dogs. We realize you had no control over this situation but we honestly had no quiet time. It was far from the peaceful vacation that we were looking forward to."
"We had a wonderful time at the cabin! I'm not expecting anything fancy from a cabin in the woods, but the amenities were all as promised and made for a great stay. It's a beautiful location, very calm and quiet but nice to be around other families enjoying the lake. We loved the beach and the dock. It was great to be able to cook meals in the kitchen. The beds were comfortable. The internet was a little spotty at times but that was expected. When there was an issue with the water, the host responded and resolved the issue quickly. Would definitely return!"
Island Retreat Sioux Narrows Ontario Canada - Amazing fishing area
10/10 Excellent
"This was located on a part of the lake we hadn’t fished yet so we were excited to check it out. The property was beautiful and exactly as advertised. It was clean and communication with the host was great. This is their family cabin so we appreciated them letting us use it. There is a bit of a hill to walk up in case you have anyone in your party with mobility restrictions, it might be tough. Overall great. Definitely watch for rocks on this part of the lake. Thanks for hosting "
