« We used the hotels as a base for a safari tour and it was an ideal base. The location is great, being a short walk (1500m) out of Tissa. Lake Wind Resort is a beautiful heritage building that has had life injected again by new management. The team could not have been more helpful and attentive. We had a few minor issues, such as a very minor leak (understandable as the build has recently had work done), but the team addressed promptly and properly. Don’t let that put you off because the...

« L'établissement est très joli, au calme, au bord d'un grand lac avec des singes et des oiseaux. Grande chambre propre avec un frigo et le nécessaire à thé/café, mais quelque peu impersonnelle, sans décoration. La salle de bain mériterait un petit rafraîchissement. Le personnel n'est pas très communiquant. La salle de restauration mériterait d'être refaite car avec son plafond si haut, tout résonne, même quand il y a très peu de monde. La piscine est agréable et propre, avec un grand bassin, mais...

« The stay was amazing. From the moment we walked in we were warmly greeted by the owners of the property who showed exceptional hospitality. The room was really nice and clean with an amazing view of the surroundings. The food was 10/10 with a selection of both local and international options. The owners helped with arranging a jeep for the safari and were ready to help with any other requests. I would highly recommend staying at the property if you’re going for the Yala Jungle Safari. »

« Hotel a 3 km de la ville, assez éloigné sans service a proximité. Safari trés cher. J'avais résérvé une chambre mais a mon arrivée il n'y en avait pas alors on m'a proposé le dortoir au meme tarif se que j'ai refusé et aprés discussion j'ai obtenu une tente-chambre. Trés bien dans la grosse savane mais prés de la grande route pas nécessaire du tout. Personnel serviable mais on sans que l'argent et le but premier du centre. »

« All in all, happy to stay here, just be prepared to do a lot of extra work to check-in. The location is incorrectly indicated on Facebook, TripAdvisor & hotels.com, and is 10km north of Tissa. Easily accessed by public transit if you've got the correct address. Make sure they know you're coming, as they were unaware I had made the reservation. If you can't find their phone #, try them on Facebook, or worst case scenario, go to to their Tile & Bathroom Shop, next to Sampath Bank... Don't...

« Hi, the property was nice, but in the middle of the rice fields. They did not serve dinner, so you have to take a tuktuk to town. The room itself was large and beautiful, but the AC did not work and there was no fridge in the room. »

« Les managers qui parlent français nous ont organisé un safari dans le parc Yala avec un chauffeur très compétant. Il y a une belle piscine au milieu d'un parc bien entretenu et il est agréable de d'année sur la terrasse de la chambre. Mais attention aux moustiques. Beaucoup de choix au dinner, mais service un peu lent, tout est fait à la demande. Nous avons apprécié nos deux nuits. »

« We spend two days in the resort. The arrival was easy and we received a heartfelt greeting. The room was very clean and we had a wonderfull view in the surrouning nature. The pool was as well Good organized and clean with a beautiful view. The breakfast and Dinner was amazing. You can chose between different meals which were prepared with local fruits vegetables and meat or fish. We like it that they Support the local Provider. This Supports the private Business and secure freshly cooked...
