Bet on blackjack or try the slots at Paradise Casino, one of Busan’s newest gambling establishments, not far from the sea-going pleasures of Haeundue Beach. After a day of sun and sand, relax with a game of baccarat while interacting with other visitors to Busan and South Korea. Walk to the casino along the busy streets near Haeundae. Spot the Hard Rock Café across the street then walk into Paradise. Stay at Paradise’s attached luxury hotel for an even shorter walk to the casino floor in the evening. You may want to start with the slot machines, of which there are more than 50, with a variety of different games. Ask for assistance from the staff members, who are mostly Korean. They can help by providing phone chargers, reading glasses or even blankets and sweaters if the air conditioning becomes too much. Move onto the gambling tables, spread out over three floors. Enjoy the near-silence, a striking difference from the more cacophonous atmosphere of most Western casinos. Try baccarat or bet on red or black in roulette. Chat with other patrons for tips on what to visit in Busan and the surrounding region. Cash out and head back out onto the streets of Busan a little richer or poorer, but with a great night of fun behind you. Paradise Casino is in the commercial area of Haeundae, a few minutes’ walk from the beach. Walk from the Haeundae subway station in 10 minutes or take a bus from Sasang Bus Terminal in about 45 minutes. A 40-minute shuttle leaves from the airport to the hotel every 20 minutes. Only limited parking is available in the area, so it is best to use public transportation or taxis. While the casino’s hours vary, it is generally open from evening until early morning. Check online for specific schedules. A foreign passport is necessary for entry, as the casino is closed to Koreans. (1,006 reviews) Pros: location is in Seomyeon no lack of food choices all around the hotel. There’s cafe and convenience store right at level 1\. Clean and spacious, TV is smart and comes with Netflix, Youtube, Disney Plus app etc. Cons: centralized aircon system = need to open window for ventilation. However the design of windows in bathroom means it is very cold when you head to showers. Also, there’s a lot of nightlife activities way into the early morning 3-4am so opening window also means you need to be prepared for the noise coming from the street. I suppose if you stay at this hotel in the summer where AC is self-controlled it will be a 5-star stay.
