There are 2 piers in Panama and both cost $3 to walk them. The one closest to Pier Park is further out into the Gulf so it's more worth it if you can only do 1 pier. They do stamp your hand so you can go on and off it all day. On the pier a lot of people fish so watch for them hooks. From what I was told to fish in Florida you need a salt water and a fresh water licence in order to fish in the different waters. The Host was wonderful and so nice. Lots of room for the whole family, and was great to have 3 bathrooms. We were just across from one of the pools and the gym. The walk to the beach was just a few minutes so not bad with all of our beach stuff. We had a bit of a hiccup when the city shut off water to complete emergency maintenance, but obviously that was out of the hosts control. They were quick to respond to questions and arranged a later check out for our trouble. The house was comfortable and set up nicely for a large family to gather. There were essential beach items- chairs, wagons, umbrellas- that we could borrow. The apartment is located a short walk to the beach and very close to one (of many) pool and pickle ball court.
