The main gathering area was also plenty large enough for all of us to cook and then eat together. Our kids, ages 8, 6, 6, 5, 4, 3 loved the bunk room! My only complaint is that it is on the third floor, and there is not adequate lighting in the stairwell, nor a rail on the right side for when they might wake up in the middle of the night and come walking down the steps. We had a few small falls.Lack of beach access was a definite hardship with that many little children. You have to drive down to Deer State Lake Park and then walk a solid three minutes on a bridge before getting to the beach or you have to drive down to Walton Dunes access and hope that there is parking in the small public parking spot. And the property manager was very responsive to questions. Our older kids/teens enjoyed biking around the neighborhood and walking to the hub. The community and the pool were great. However, beach access is a challenge at this community so be prepared to golf cart to beach access. There’s no access in the community or in walking distance. There’s also limited parking at only a select few access points. The access point closest to this house, Deer Park, was full/closed for access every day by mid morning, but it wasn’t a problem for us to drive further down to another access. The community does provide a shuttle as well, we just didn’t choose to use it as we had a large group. Overall we had a lovely stay. ##### Lori L.
