Miller County Pier 17 min walk \- 1.5 km - ![Pelican patiently waits for some fish scraps from the user of a man cleaning his fish. There are 2 piers in Panama and both cost $3 to walk them. The one closest to Pier Park is further out into the Gulf so it's more worth it if you can only do 1 pier. They do stamp your hand so you can go on and off it all day. On the pier a lot of people fish so watch for them hooks. From what I was told to fish in Florida you need a salt water and a fresh water licence in order to fish in the different waters. Nov 28, 2023 #### Location Location Location The location is outstanding. You are mere steps from having your toes in the sand. This home is quiet and away from the major hotels and condos. The home was built in the 80s and is showing its age. The kitchen has been updated but it doesn’t appear that anything else has been touched. The bedrooms are small, no closets or drawers in any of them except the master. The shower water pressure is not great but manageable. Furniture is not comfortable but why are you going to the beach? It’s not to lay on the sofa all day, right? If you want to be on the water and can live with a place that isn’t luxurious then book it. We had a good time. There were no frills but, the LOCATION and FEELwere great. We wanted good cold AC, a clean place, and room for multiple kids to sleep AND have their own space in case of a rainy day. Our only complaint- NO DRYER... BUT we made do. If you are looking for down time with family and an amazing beach, this is it. The website doesn’t mention that. When we arrived we were met by another group who was very unruly, like getting on top of the roof at midnight despite being asked twice to get down. We didn’t enjoy waking up and coming outside finding piles of puke all around the property. We were very much under the impression it was a private property and that the extra rooms on site were available to us for an extra fee, NOT that total strangers would be renting them. We were told there would be 6 parking spaces, we did not have six, the carport is only meant for small vehicles and again no disclaimer for such, and the two full sized vehicles barely fit on the one side we had. The neighbors we had on site parked in the street and slept in their cars, each morning we woke up to random people asleep in their car. The cleanliness inside was mediocre, there was dust piled up on all the windows and pictures, lamps, you can tell it just gets cleaned at, and not necessarily thoroughly cleaned. The house itself was just fine for what we needed. Not a very handicapped accessible home. If we hadn’t of had the terrible neighbors staying on site with us it might not have been such a terrible experience but we were pretty disappointed.
