I’d asked about the possibility of an early check-in a week prior and was told they’d try to accommodate but it was clear no effort was made. I wasn’t upset, but I do wish they had at least tried.We arrived exactly on time, only to learn that the access code wouldn’t be provided until the unit was ready. I called the rental company and was told the property wouldn’t be available until 4:00 PM, despite VRBO clearly listing 3:00 PM as the check-in time. They refused to investigate without proof, so I took a screenshot and followed up with another call. They initially argued about the timing but eventually agreed to submit a request to prep the unit. It was ready within about 20 minutes. I appreciated the quick turnaround, but it confirmed they could have accommodated the early check-in—they simply chose not to. And honestly, who wants to start a vacation with an argument?Fortunately, things took a turn for the better. Once inside, the property exceeded expectations—it was spotless, beautifully furnished on two levels, with high-end appliances and fixtures. The unit was quiet despite being attached to several others, and beach access was the most convenient we've experienced in Panama City. One of our favorite spots, Bayou Bills, was even within walking distance.
