Windward 106 is a lovely 2 bedroom, 2 bath gulf-front condo that is located on the first floor of the Windward Building at the Edgewater Beach and Golf Resort in Panama City Beach. This beautifully decorated condo sleeps 6 with a king in the master bedroom, a queen in the guest bedroom, and a queen-sized sleeper sofa in the living room. It is also complete with a fully-equipped kitchen, a washer and dryer, and a private balcony to take in the stunning views of the Gulf Coast. Sit on your couch and gaze out of the sliding glass doors to watch the amazing sunsets.  Windward 106 is perfect for your beach vacation!

Windward is only 6 stories high and shares a pool only with its twin building, designed specifically for providing a retreat of convenience, privacy, and relaxation. Edgewater Beach and Golf Resort amenities include: a half mile of private beach, Polynesian-style lagoon pool, eleven total pools, six reflecting ponds, Plexicushion tennis courts, four hot tubs, shuffleboard, on-site restaurants, a 9-hole executive golf course, and endless Florida sunsets. As this resort is extensive, there are golf cart shuttles to take you wherever you'd like to go. You'll find restaurants galore, like Ocean's Bar and Grill for gulf front dining, Starbucks coffee shop, Paradise Pizza, Blenders for frozen drinks on the Lagoon Pool Deck, and Edgie's Corner Market for ice cream or coffee. Other restaurants are within walking distance.

  • Pelican patiently waits for some fish scraps from the user of a man cleaning his fish. There are 2 piers in Panama and both cost $3 to walk them. The one closest to Pier Park is further out into the Gulf so it's more worth it if you can only do 1 pier. They do stamp your hand so you can go on and off it all day. On the pier a lot of people fish so watch for them hooks. From what I was told to fish in Florida you need a salt water and a fresh water licence in order to fish in the different waters. There are also signs posted on the pier about how to handle a situation if sea turtles get caught.

Perfect Condo with Beautiful Views — Ideal for a Girls’ Weekend! We had such a wonderful stay! The condo was absolutely perfect — clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The views were stunning, especially at sunset, and we loved spending mornings on the balcony with coffee.The on-site restaurants were fantastic and so convenient — we didn’t even have to leave the property to enjoy great food and drinks. This was truly the perfect spot for a girls’ weekend trip — relaxing, fun, and close to everything.We can’t wait to come back!

Great location

The floor unit was awesome, and you could take the stairs or elevator. I love the beach access that was awesome and was not overly crowded. We had a fun time! The view was perfect! The only issue we had was that the king-size bed was broken at the end, so the bed slanted but also the slats underneath were broken, cracked as it sank in the middle. Called about the issue and someone came out to look at it and then later someone came and fixed the end of the bed but not the underneath issue. I hope they fixed it before the next people arrived. We were compensated but everything should have been fixed, it was not something you want to deal with while on vacation. The only other issue, the furniture needs to be updated

Lots of love is needed in this condo

The pictures are not very accurate for the price! We paid over 3k for 7 nights and the carpet was gross. The tile in the bathroom was broken and they slapped this yuck brown caulk over tan grout and wrote wet on a piece of tape to the tile. The wallpaper in the bathroom was coming off. It wasn’t taken care of properly. This condo needs a lot of love! I wouldn’t pay this price for this condo ever very disappointed. I also text the property manager about it and no response

Love Edgewater beach Resort. Condo was good. Had couple of issues microwave did not work. Screen door was ripped. Tub in guest bathroom spout was falling off. We were to have my kids and two grandchildren with us but they couldn't come at the last minute. Will always stay ar Edgewater but not here at this unless its updated.

Old and needs renovation!!

Well this place looks like it was built in the early 80’s and no one has done anything with it since then. I could tell from the pictures it was dated but it was also just dirty, and to be honest gross. The carpet is nasty. The furniture is old and looks questionable. The bedding was stained. The unit smells musty, the wall paper is pealing. The tub faucet is coming off the wall in the guest bathroom. The master toilet stopped flushing mid week. I called and reported that, they sent someone to fix it but then it started leaking. One morning there was brown water coming out of the master sink faucet. The only plus to this unit was the view of the ocean and it being right on the beach. The managing company was responsive when I reported my issues but I wouldn’t stay here again at this particular unit even if it was free.

Our Condo was the perfect spot, not too crowded! Everything we needed in the kitchen was there! It was easy access to everything! The only complaint I have is our feet were black because the floors weren’t clean, and we found a rat dropping in our bed. It could use some updating, but all in all it was a great place to stay!

Very unclean and dated

This resort used to be a premier resort in the area, however this particular room was very dated and unkept. Bottle lids under coffee table, thick evidently dirty carpet, sheets were questionably dirty. Voiced my opinion on the room and unfortunately was not resolved. Disappointed unfortunately.

We were disappointed with photos. Some of the furniture was worn and dated. Linen was dirty on 1 on the beds. 2 pots under counter were unwashed. But management took care of both issues right away. There were no skillet in the kitchen. But we did enjoy convenience of beach, pools, restaurant and activities. Will use RealJoy again!

Our stay was very fun! The views were amazing and the beach was a stone throw away. Our condo was very clean and very spacious. The only thing that could’ve made the experience a little better than what it was, was to have more kitchen utensils like a skillet. Other than that we had an amazing time and would love to come back in the future!

Great location but really needs updating

We LOVED the building we were in (Windward) and would stay there again. Windward and Leeward are two smaller buildings that are closer to the beach than the other towers. Definitely quieter without the crowds from the towers, lagoon pool and restaurant. Plus only 6 floors so elevator wait wasn’t bad (even though we didn’t use them much). The beach area for these two buildings is not nearly as crowded as in front of the towers. Very short walk to the beach! There is a pool between Leeward and Windward and we only used this one. Unfortunately the lagoon pool was a crazy crowded mess and if you didn’t get down there by 6 am any decent chairs we’re already covered in towels. Even so, the pool is so crowded it is hard to enjoy. The hot tubs were WAY TOO HOT to even hang your feet in. Plus the other hot tubs at tower 2 and 3 weren’t even operable. Pool for tower 3 appeared to be completely closed. Overall though, we spent most of our time on the beach so no bigger for the pools. Condo was nice and roomy. Being on the first floor was certainly a plus. Only had to use the elevator when bringing in luggage or many groceries. Otherwise stairs were easier. (The elevator was awful! No fresh air, usually wet floors due to people coming in from the beach and very slow! I was always worried that it would get stuck LOL) Beds were ok, but furniture is VERY worn. There is carpet everywhere except kitchen and bathrooms. It felt dirty and you can tell by the shag that is has seen better days. The condo itself is extremely dated….tub has some mold, kitchen sink is tricky getting hot water but good fridge with a working ice maker which is definitely nice. The kitchen was poorly stocked, not a skillet or pan to be found. Pots were available though. The furniture on the patio is awful, soooo old really needs to be replaced. Uncomfortable and at that, there are only 3 chairs. Our adult children stayed in a condo on the 6th floor with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and their stay was $1000 less than our 2 bedroom. PLUS theirs was completely updated with quartz countertops, tiled throughout and beautiful high top seating on the balcony with plenty of chairs. For the price, they had a much better value! For the cost of our condo, the owners should reinvest into making the stay more pleasant. Overall we had a very good experience but will definitely shop around for a nicer condo with a better price.

Summary

Edgewater is a great place to stay. WE loved the pools, location and scenry and convenience. Our condo rental was a little dated, electrical was a little weird.. Dining room chandlier flashed when turned down and you could not shut it off. The queen bedroom ran off of electrical stripes and outlets along wall did not work so no way to charge phone on that side of the bed at night. No overhead lighting just a lamp. Minimal issues. We still enjoyed our stay.
