Beautiful house 5 kms away from the beach. The house has been completely refurbished mixing the XVIII century antique house with XXI century avant-garde architecture. Fantastic location in the centre of the medieval town of Pals (Girona). The house has a very nice living room with a fire place. The place is decorated with a mixture of Antique and contemporary furnishings to offer all the commodities. The house is equipped with a WIFI connection. Free parking on premises for 2 vehicles. Register Number: HUTG001745 / HUTG001746 SURROUNDING AREA: 'Can Caranta' is situated on the Medieval town of Pals. All around the town centre you can see splendid Gothic buildings, like the present-day museum of submarine archaeology Ca La Pruna, a fortified mansion from the 15th-16th century. It also holds a permanent exhibition of wines and cavas of Catalonia, a room offering temporary exhibitions of painters and sculptors. In the town of Figueres (at 40Km) you will find Salvador’s Dali Museum. At 10 Km is La Bisbal d'Empordà famous for its ceramics. Close by are the Roman ruins at Ullestret, and many other historic medieval villages. Girona - capital of the province, with its Roman and Arabic history which can be seen in the old part of the city, also has a modern side, with great shopping, restaurants and night clubs (a 35 minutes drive). ACTIVITIES / LEISURE: One of the most characteristic pictures of the coastline is the wide-open 3.5 kilometre long Pals beach with the Medes Islands in the background. Its special topography makes it the ideal spot to practice all types of water sports like windsurfing. Or if you prefer enjoying the surrounding secluded beaches of: Sa Riera, Sa Tuna, Aiguablava, Calella de Palafrugell or Llafranc (10minutes by car). Small sandy bays with rocky headlands, pine trees and clean water. Only a few kilometres from Pals, in the town of L’Estartit, is the Medes Islands Marine Reserve, an archipelago formed by seven small islands that are admired the world over by people who practise underwater sports. Une semaine a supporté les désagréments quotidiens des travaux dans la maison jumelle appartenant au même propriétaire: bruit et poussière en permanence.... Rapport qualité prix faible. Love the property and the pool was great for our 6 month old son to play in. Pals is a beautiful place and as we had a car there are lots of places to visit within a 30min to 1 hour drive. Had only one issue with our stay. We found that the beds creaked a lot when sleeping if we moved or rolled about, which only was an issue as our son was sleeping in the cot in the same room. The best thing though, was the location with local shops on the doorstep and great restaurants and cafes within walking distance.
