CITY ID#:002848 Architect Jack Meiselman was known for his impeccable way of creating indoor outdoor living in a home with post and beam construction, sleek lines, walls of glass and cement block. This original Meiselman is testament to his vision. The current owners updated and decorated this home to maximize all the original details while adding the comforts and details we've all come to expect in a home. Sunrise Modern is a 3 bedroom 2 bath home with a renovated 12' x 28' x 7' deep pool. The pool has a tanning shelf and full length benches built into both the North and South ends. The spa is 6' x 8' and has 6 jets. The backyard also has a large grass yard for playing bocce ball, croquet, or just laying out and reading in the sun. There is a fire pit with comfortable seating and the large gas stainless steel BBQ and outdoor dining table. Fully stocked inside and out, SUNRISE MODERN will quickly become your favorite vacation rental in Palm Springs! The great room layout brings both of the living room seating areas, the kitchen, and the dining room all into one entertaining space - all of which look through the 31' wall of glass and sliding doors out to the sparkling pool and spa with 6 chaise lounges. The living room has a decorative fireplace and a 55 " smart tv with direct tv and pioneer sound bar. The kitchen is fully stocked for your cooking and dining pleasures. The coffee bar has a coffee grinder as well as a coffee maker and other accoutrements. The kitchen island has 4 barstools for breakfast bar use or sipping cocktails while visiting with the chef on hand. The primary bedroom has a king bed, 55" smart tv with direct tv, and an en suite bathroom with separate dual sink vanity, walk-in shower and water closet. The room has large oversized sliding doors on both the North and South sides - as well as clerestory windows to bring in abundant natural light. The views of and access to both the pool yard and the quiet side yard make this retreat perfect all around. Guest bedroom 1 has a king bed and a sliding door to the side yard with outdoor patio and seating. This room has a 40" roku tv with direct tv. Guest bedroom 2 has a queen bed and a sliding door to the side yard with outdoor patio and seating. This room has a 48" roku tv with direct tv. The hall guest bathroom - shared by the two guest bedrooms - has a bathtub shower combination. We are not crazy partiers so the sound ordinance was not a problem. I might suggest leaving some windex under kitchen sink in case anyone gets sunscreen on a glass door as you said that would cause extra cleaning fees. There is also only one small frying pan that we found to cook on unless you are baking or roasting something. It was nice to have coffee and other basic things to work with while we were there. The vent in the kitchen over the stove area goes on randomly and is very loud, looks old so wanted you to be aware of that too. Thank you. ##### Lisa P. We received a call for early checkin and it was a great surprise. Our group of 6 was comfortable and enjoyed our stay. We’ve stayed in many Palm Springs homes over the years and Sunset Modern was very special, especially the outdoor area. There was a bit of a snafu with the A/C but the home did cool down eventually. Put away all the cables and cable boxes in the master bedroom, It looks like a student's bedroom and it takes away all the mid century vibe you are trying to create. the windows in the bathrooms don't open the sliding door from the dining room to the patio needs some fixing The garden is a great size and the pool is beautiful but the furniture by the fire pit is old, uncomfortable and uninviting. The whole backyard needs some feng shui A sun umbrella by the outdoor dining table would be lovely to be able to have breakfast or lunch outdoors. Having to roll or carry the other sun umbrellas is not a good idea. The faucet sticking out of the ground next to where you park the car, is an accident waiting to happen. We spent Thanksgiving at Sunrise Modern and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Great house, terrific ambience, great location and just the right size for a family of 4 adults. The kitchen could have been stocked a little bit better, or with some nicer items, and we had trouble finding wash cloths for the kids. Just didn't seem quite as well stocked as some other PS houses we've rented. But that's just being picky. All-in-all the house was as advertised. Everything worked as it was supposed to. The pool was probably the best pool at any home we've rented in PS!! Loved the pool and we all had a great weekend relaxing in the sun! Thanks! ##### Ben F. Check-in was easy, and while Palm Springs has a lot of rental rules, the process was made super easy due to great communication. The place was everything we expected it to be. Great decor and amenities, and of course a nice pool to help beat the heat. We had three couples, and while it's not palatial, we had plenty of room. Only small complain is even though the backyard is large, the layout feels a little tight and close to neighbors. Other than that, we had a great getaway!!! ##### William T. The house is also very nice, and has many nice touches, however, there was some flaking paint in a few places, a bathtub that dripped non-stop, and a broken vehicle rooftop cargo container out front that the property mgmt co said they would remove but never did (we were there seven days). This house is super bright and airy, awesome Crate & Barrel/West Elm decor, comfy beds, high end linens, pool rafts and yard games. The entire living room and kitchen opens up to the pool making the whole place feel like an outdoor patio. Like most Palm Springs homes, you are right up against other homes but high walls and bushes make it super private. Quiet, and great location near town. My husband and I loved sprawling out, but it’s also very cozy. Perfect for one or two couples or 4-6 people. ##### Teri H.
