Contemporary, modern, and stylish, it's a perfect fit for those looking to unwind and enjoy the Palm Springs sunshine poolside. Walk through the breezeway between the home and the garage to the backyard, where a glistening pool and spa beckon you to relax and let your cares slip away. Stretch out on one of the chaise lounges and soak up that Palm Springs sun while being surrounded by a lush green lawn and mature citrus trees, including lemon and grapefruit. The backyard faces west, framing a picturesque view of the San Jacinto Mountains, and there's an outdoor dining space for eight under the covered patio, as well as a propane barbeque for preparing and enjoying meals al fresco. Once inside this 1, 600 square foot Palm Springs hideaway, the natural light streams into the main living space through the large windows and glass doors, offering a bright and open feeling. The furnishings are contemporary and sleek, with a dash of modern for that Palm Springs vibe. The main seating area is a great place to gather friends and family around the gas fireplace or to enjoy a movie on the 42' TV with a DVD player. The open floor plan makes spending time together easy, as the living room, dining room, and kitchen are all open to each other. WHAT'S NEARBY Perched in a convenient location equidistant from the hustle and bustle of downtown and the Palm Springs International Airport, you will have no problem soaking up the best of this desert city. Start each morning with a cup of coffee from Koffi on the way over to the various trails at Tahquitz Canyon just three miles away. When you want to check out the core of downtown, head down Palm Canyon Drive and explore the fun shops, tasty restaurants, and art exhibits. For some fun away from the city, Joshua Tree National Park and Mount San Jacinto State Park are both closeby for a day trip! THINGS TO KNOW \-Outdoor music is prohibited. Music that is played indoors must not be heard outdoors. City ordinance states that any music that is audible from the property line is a violation. People noise during the day is permissible but must be measured and reasonable. Daytime is considered 10:00 am to 10:00 pm. \-The utility deposit is $1,500 for 28 nights with $375 added for each additional week the guest stays. \-This home is managed by Vacation Palm Springs Real Estate, Inc. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. No more dogs are allowed. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 3 vehicles. This rental is located on floor 1. 1 day notification is required in order to heat the pool and pool spa. A fee of USD 72 per day must be paid prior to check-in to purchase pool and pool spa heat for your stay. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). The only negatives would be some of the obvious stains on walls and cabinets and the dust. It could have been cleaner, and my entire family was attacked by what I can only assume were mosquitoes, while enjoying the beautiful and private backyard and pool! Just make sure you have good insect repellant and soothing itch cream. We did enjoy our stay however. Despite the check-in process being a little more confusing than other vacation rental services I've used, the stay itself was great. Even though the pictures on the listing were obviously edited/touched up, but the property was pretty much as shown. The neighborhood was quiet and in a good, convenient location. They had games and pool toys for the kids. The beds were really comfortable and all the necessary items to cook in the kitchen and on the grill. We will definitely be back! ##### Shiri S. The house for a palms springs rental is outdated. Who ever owns the house has had no interest in updating it making it comfortable for people. A rental home is excepted to have the essentials to enjoy indoor and outdoor activities. At night there was no outdoor lighting. The lights that were displayed as lights outside were so old they didn’t work. We had to waste an hour going to Home Depot to buy lights. The pool had no lights. The remote for the pool was outdated we couldn’t get the lights on. We called the office left a message. Someone did call us back said they would send soMeone to turn on the lights and start the pool heater. That person never came by. He said I would get a refund for the purchased lights (let’s see if they do) The master bedroom restroom shower was so old the water would not drain while showering. The furniture was old and uncomfortable. It’s showed a lot of wear and tear. The pillows were stained and bedding were as if we were in Motel 6 (OLD) ##### sara t. Called and emailed and received no response. Pool pump was extremely loud and never stopped through our stay.
