Magnifique surprise à Palm Springs,
Nous avions réservé une très belle chambre mais avons eu la surprise d’être surclassé dans une suite de très Belle proportion. La vue depuis notre piscine était scénique au pied des m ontagnes avec des palmiers d’une hauteur incroyable. Le spa était à la hauteur du reste, confortable et silencieux. Luvia notre masseuse a su nous remettre d’aplomb et ce n’était pas gagne ! Ultime cerise sur le gâteau le Room service et la carte des restaurants était exceptionnel, créatifs délicat copieux mais sans excès et pour un prix très raisonnable, bref nous avons prolongé notre séjour,

Chaleur écrasante et relaxation à l'hôtel Avalon
nous avons séjourné en septembre, à ce qu'il paraît les établissements de la ville sont deux fois moins cher à cause de la chaleur écrasante qu'il y fait. Nous avions réservé une suite, tout était nickel, très spacieux, très blanc, très accueillant, très propre et très confortable. Il y a même une cuisine si besoin . L'hôtel en lui-même aussi est très bien car il y a entre autre un bar, il y a 3 piscine et deux des trois piscines sont ouvertes 24 heures sur 24, avec la chaleur écrasante, ce n'est pas anodin car cela permet de prendre un bain de minuit ou encore plus tard si besoin! L'hôtel est très bien situé car il est à 5 minutes à pied de Palm canyon drive, la rue commerçante où vous trouverez tous les restaurants et les boutiques de la ville! Le tout petit hic c'est que sur ce trajet de 5 minutes, il y a 2 minutes où il n'y a pas de lumières dans la rue, c'est justement la rue de l'hôtel, cela a l'air d'être volontaire ce n'était donc pas une panne , ce n'est pas très long certes, mais à signaler malgré tout

Mérite une totale refonte !
Personnel très agréable. À la réception, ultra pro et adorable. Cependant, hôtel vieillot. Chambres avec odeur de "vieux", clim parfois obsolète dans certaines (ai change de chambre immédiatement tellement elle était immonde !!!) et avec très désagréable odeur d'humidité. Même les placards n'inspirent pas confiance. J'ai personnellement gardé mes habits dans ma valise. Baignoire totalement écaillée, énorme espace sous la porte d'entrée qui peut laisser les cafards croisés dans les coursives (ouvertes sur l'exterieur) entrer dans votre chambre. Pas l'envie de retourner une nouvelle fois là bas.

Loved staying here. In town for a trade show and enjoyed staying here. Landscaping and grounds of property is stunning! Room was small but clean and cute. Loved the Netflix, apple tv, login on TV. Since here for work, felt a few issues like had to call for ice and couldn't go to ice machine. Didnt make clear on what Wifi was for working on laptop. But small issues, really lovely stay and staff is so kind. LOVED it all!

Overall we loved our stay! Beautiful property and very friendly and helpful staff. Also GREAT location!! Areas where improvements are needed: -Sleeper sofa VERY lumpy and uncomfortable -hot water was not consistently available for all. -We had 5 guests and the bungalow allowed for 6. There were only 4 of all items in kitchen such as 4 wine glasses, spoons, plates, etc. Need at least 6 of each. Also need more utensils Definitely need more USB ports and plugs! -one blower dryer did not work -would be nice to have a microwave

Can’t help the weather! But a very comfortable place to stay. The only slight let downs are the plumbing - the shower was a bit weak and connects to the bath taps so a bit difficult to adjust to the right temperature, when all you want to do it set it to where you want it and leave it there. No hot water in the bath sink. Odd, but perhaps in keeping with a period property.

Location - Fantastic. Close to shopping and dining Valet - Fantastic. Polite and timely Entrance - A mandatory sign is posted that notes about safety issues at the hotel, presumably linked to asbestos, with reference to risk of child defect, cancer, etc. I'm certain it is a safe place to stay, but the sign is not a good, comforting sign upon check-in. Staff- Fantastic. Friendly and helpful Room - updated, but old. No amount of paint and updates, takes away from the fact that the room was small, lack of closet or shelving space to unpack a suitcase, bathrooms without ventilation or functioning window. The sound insulation was horrible and I could hear the guest upstairs and next door at all hours of the night.

Regretful stay
This was possibly the most disappointing hotel stay I have ever experienced. If you pay $60 for a motel, you know what you’re getting. If you’re paying nearly $600 a night, you’re expecting something pretty great. Alas- not here. Tired decor, shabby bare rooms with broken drawers, cracked walls and cheap plastic furnishings. The dark inter-room corridors were like a rundown Hollywood apartment block. We were so shocked. The pool area was rammed with tables and chairs- you’re literally stepping into other guest’s breakfast to get in and out of the water. We cut our stay short and left early the morning after we arrived to change hotels. I will say that the staff were really helpful and friendly.

Nice motel if you can get it for $200 a night
It is a nice run down motel. If any dog barked then they just texed everyone with a dog. I came back from a night club and my dog was asleep. Beware of there extra fees (about $100 a day?) The restaurant was good, and the staff was very nice. The bed was nice the room was old. I was $700 a night all in, and realistically a nice $225 a night motel. The valet staff were polite. And check in staff were very nice.

The rooms were just ok with minimal furnishings in one case no closet to speak of and just bland and mediocre in general. In both locations both rooms were incredibly noisy and no care was taken to reduce the amount of noise caused by other guests or staff. The value for the money paid was kind of appalling considering that from a base price of about $400 for a very basic room it rose to $500 with taxes, surcharges etc etc Not an experience we’d like to repeat

Not a good value- for almost $400 per night I expect more. The staff was friendly, the pool, bathroom, and other facilities were well maintained- however the following were subpar. For the price I expect the room to be more than essentially a walkout basement. 1) Our room was dug into the side of a hill with a slider and a concrete retaining wall, and no window at the room’s entrance so the room was dark, 2) there were no comfortable sitting chairs inside despite adequate space for two, 3) there were multiple extension cords under the bed that I can’t see how that is not a fire code violation, 4) no ice bucket in room (have had them in motel six), 5) had to go into the bar to get our own drinks after being in the pool area for 15-20 minutes in the middle afternoon without service. Again I expect more based on the price

Stayed here on our honeymoon. Quiet and quaint hotel and the staff was great. It was our first time in Palm Springs and one of the staff members wrote us a list of restaurants/activities. We will definitely stay here when in town again!

I felt super comfortable being there as a woman traveling alone, and being so close to downtown made exploring, even at night, easy. The hotel is really cute and my room was thoughtfully updated. I loved having multiple pools to hang out at and the gym was really nice too! The staff was really attentive and kind. The food and drinks were good too. Highly recommend staying here!

The Avalon was a pleasant surprise. Customer service was excellent. I loved our room decor and cleanliness. I really needed a quiet adult weekend and that’s what I got. The grounds are beautiful, well kept and scenic. It’s walking distance to down town. I would only say our bathroom was tiny. No counters space at all. And there is no closet to hang clothes.
