While we love Hammock Beach for a quick get away, it needs some updating. We stayed in the ocean rooms this time and I do love being closer to the view. My patio was so peaceful. The service this weekend was less than standard and was disappointing knowing they should be ready for a Mother’s Day crowd. All that said, we will come back. It’s affordable and close by.

This is an amazing hotel and property. I first stayed here with my husband on our honeymoon. Two kids, COVID, countless sleepless night later we finally came back with the kiddos. Still had so much to do here now just like back then, just different stuff. Dining is amazing, they have kids programs, bike rentals, in-room childcare, putt-putt golf and of course, pools, spa and delicious gelato made in house! I cannot recommend this place more. So many booking options to choose from, from a getaway for a couple to a nice stay with your family and friends in villas, condos and beach houses (go to their website for those). It’s worth every penny.

This was our second time staying at this property and we would definitely come again. The grounds are beautiful…according to my husband the golf course is great. The service is excellent as was the food at the Atlantic Grill. Plenty of seating around the pool!

directions on parking in garage were terrible. There was work going on in part of parking garage and no signs really showing where you could park. I parked in the back lot near golf course not knowing if I would be towed away there or not. Could have better directions on getting to P1 level and to pool area from there. Fantastic pool complex area... grand kids loved it and the ADULTS TOO!!!!

The property looks beautiful on the outside, and the majority of the inside areas are beautiful as well, however, it is almost due for a complete update and it shows. The lobby is nice, as are the restaurants, but even the rooms that have been recently redecorated are a tad dated (early 2000s styles with a lot of scuff marks) though still nice… I wasn’t disappointed! The bathrooms in particular are spacious and lovely. The exterior areas (hallways to rooms, which are external, elevators, and walkways to the pool/beach are in need of a power wash and paint). The pool area is nice and great for kids, though the workers were hit or miss with friendliness and they could use a few more chairs. They charge for beach chairs (pool chairs are free) which I think is uncalled for as the rooms are already expensive. The food is expensive, but most of it is decent. The cafe’s oven wasn’t working while we were there some of the days which was a bummer as the only other breakfast option is Atlantic Grille… which I did enjoy, but it is pricey and the menu/service could use an update for lunch and dinner. Overall, the resort is pretty, the rooms are solid, and the beach and pools are lovely. If you’re looking for a one stop shop resort for a beach vaca, this is a good option, especially if you have kids. There were a lot of kid activities through the week!

Upon arrival I was charged with a $522 dollar security deposit that I was told I would be reimbursed with by 4 o’clock the day I checked out. It is well beyond that and I still have not seen that money come back into my account. The resort was nice, everything was super expensive but if you have extra money to spend then it would be a good place to go!

Not a Five star experience!
Stayed in condos. Unable to contact front desk . Room heater not working in freezing room. Phones in condo not working. Had to drive to front desk to inform them. Maintenance unable to fix. Moved rooms with all our bags again to second condo. Phones and WiFi not working in this condo either. Common sense would have these rooms checked beforehand. Beds were uncomfortable on top of it. Number given didn’t work to contact front desk with cellphone. Would not stay here again with how expensive condos were. On top of it patio door to balcony wouldn’t open. Unable to relax with all issues. Went to restaurant with rude staff at grill. Other guests complained as we were sitting there. When speaking to management they kept saying these were not concerning issues. A hotel stay should not be this much work. They sent someone to move our bags and we ended up doing it. Seemed to be lazy staff unwilling to give any effort to customer service.

Hammock Beach
Even though we arrived around 5:00pm our room was not ready. They switched us to another room and the bell man took us to the new room. When we went to go in, we thought someone was still in it. There wasn’t anyone in it but it had not been cleaned and was a mess. The desk told us it would take 1 or 2 hours to clean. We stayed several days and never had our room serviced. We were told if we had the do not disturb sign on the door when housekeeping came, they would not come back later. The room was nicely furnished, was comfortable and had a great view. Service could improve.
