We had booked three days stay to go downhill skiing, but finally got one day of downhill skiing due to delayed train transportation from Barcelona to Ribes de Freser, and the next day in Vall de Nuria there were too windy so the lifts were closed. There was very few snow, so only couple of slopes were open. Also only one restaurant in the area was open during our stay. It's a little tired but early mornings and just after lunch practically empty before the skiiers return! Reception was a little surly but the restaurant menu and staff were excellent. Value for money, don't be put off by the cafe basic entrance. Rooms have been renovated, large king size bed, walk in shower. A bit tight for space but for one or two nights, comfortable sleep and hot water.
