This clean, quaint, tropical getaway is in the perfect location to explore the East side of Hawaii. Whether you enjoy Hiking, Volcano exploring, Water Falls, Snorkeling, Kayaking, or what ever you enjoy, this Hale is the perfect place to come home to relax, BBQ, and unwind from a day of exploring everything the Big Island has to offer. We offer a full kitchen, BBQ, Washer Dryer, 1 King bedroom, 1 Queen bedroom, 1 Full Bathroom with a Half Bath in the Laundry Room in the Carport. Also, mini split AC have been install in every room to keep the whole house nice and cool. And we are excited to offer an outdoor shower as well. The property sits on almost a 1/4 acre of tropical plants, palms, avocados, and bananas. The house sits back from the street. It is only 7 blocks from the ocean approx. 1/4 mile. Explore the town of Pahoa with very good restaurants, a Farmer's market every Sunday, Malama Grocery Store, and Gas Station only 6 miles away. We have a minimum night stay of 3 nights, maximum stay of 14 days. Our area is very Scenic, Tropical, Old Traditional Hawaii. Do not expect Waikiki or even Kailua-Kona. There are beautiful drives to Black Sands beaches, Clothing optional Kahena Beach and Wednesday Night Uncle Roberts. Hilo has many good restaurants. Richardson's Beach in Hilo is great for snorkeling and Onekahakaha Beach is great for families including small children. Coconut Island is must see. This side of the Island has gorgeous scenery and friendly people with the Aloha spirit! Everything in the kitchen to make your meals is there. The place is clean and well-maintained. We love the front porch deck. Everything inside was wonderful and my sister REALLY LOVED the outside shower. Sitting on the lanai for breakfast and dinner was so relaxing. The neighbors were very nice. The house has been recently renovated is very clean, in a private setting with good neighbors and a yard with mature trees that has taken years to develop, the photos do not do it justice. Nothing to complain about, you can't complain about chickens and frogs in Pahoa. Alicia was remarkably responsive and we will try to stay here the next time we come to Hawaii. The Nanny and my youngest were really freaked out by them. The roosters were annoying for everyone with their crowing during the wee hours. Seen the green and black sandbeach, different waterfalls like Rainbow and Akaka. Swim in tide and river pots. Made a helicopter flight over the active vulcan. Hiked on trails closed to Mauna Kea Visiter Center. VISIT Hilo with the cocotnut Island. The sky looked red in the night . This vacation we will not forgot. ##### Rosemarie S. The homeowner did offer to leave a light on but we opted out. Good thing we had a flashlight with us. The access instructions were detailed and we were soon in. The house shows pride of ownership and we had everything we needed in good working condition. Loved that the WIFI was fast and reliable. The homeowners responded to all our questions very quickly. It was lovely to be away from the hustle and bustle of a tourist area. We felt comfortable and at home during our entire stay. ##### Renate S.
