Our second camp site at Hanaker had an amazing hike up the canyon wall to a look out over the river and canyon. Very hot hike, but the views were amazing. If I did this one again, I would probably go in the morning. The raft trip itself is pretty easy, only one Class III rapid. The sky at night with no clouds is astonishing to look at! We enjoy the wild life as some take naps (mule deer) in the yard. Many Mamas and babies coming for their restful periods. We always enjoy the Turkey parades thru the yard and then neighborhood.
