Both the owner and property manager were very responsive and helpful. However, the house does need some serious upgrades that have been neglected. Slightly annoying when things look great at first glance, but then are actually broken or unusable when you get into it. For example, cupboard doors falling off when you open them. Also the main TV isn't a smart TV, has a Roku but no Roku remote. Has a DVD player, but no HDMI connection. Upstairs tv has a DVD player, but the drawer to insert a dvd doesn't open. Hot tub has a hole busted through the side and a jet that is broken so that water shoots straight up into the air. Lid is also completely broken and also waterlogged because of said jet. Therefore you cannot actually remove the lid because it weighs about 100lbs. You can fold it over and use half the tub, but water is full of debris because the cover is torn down the middle and cannot keep debris out. Until this is actually addressed, I would not consider the hot tub an asset that should be advertised or paid for. ##### Tawnee M. The front door lock app was an issue at check in. The instructions say that the code is the last 4 of your phone number, but you actually need to download an app that has to be sent to you by the owner. So we could get in because the door was unlocked, but we could not lock it once we unloaded. The towels were still dank, like they were not fully dry. Kitchen has no basic necessities like salt and spices. The hot tub has no stand to hold the cover and was very heavy. We did our best to keep it off the ground, but the sides of the tub are literally sitting in muddy dirt. Again, nice place, good location, good response from owners. The property was clean and inviting; a great base station. Plenty of kitchen essentials and the family games are a nice touch. Packwood has a few food/dining options, breweries and a grocery store. Prices at the grocery store were as expected from a remote/local store, and the variety of food selection was good. The hot tub was great after hiking all day, but could use some maintenance.
