Pet friendly! The Sunset beachfront home in Pacific City is a comfortable older home perfect for your next coastal retreat. This home is on a quiet street that is bordered by the ocean on one side, and the Nestucca River on the other, and right in the heart of Pacific City. It is ideal for families, out-door enthusiasts and groups who like to fish! This is an older home, and although not full of luxury, it has been a popular favorite of many beach-goer who return each year. Pets are welcome, there is a comfortable open lay out, and there is plenty of parking making this a great beach rental. Oceanfront property (high sand bank blocks most view and steep beach access currently this spring.) Great parking WIFI / Cable TV Across the street from Nestucca River boat access Max cars 4 (Contact us if additional parking space is needed) Pet friendly No BBQ Layout: Garage is on bottom level. Second level entry has kitchen, living room, dining area, full hall bath, bedroom with queen bed, 2nd bedroom with queen bed. 3rd level has bedroom with queen bed & twin bed , open landing area has 3 twin beds , full hall bath. Neighborhood: Sunset Avenue is a quiet street located between the Nestucca River and the Ocean that stretches south from the middle of Pacific City on the beach, and leads directly into Bob Straub State Park. A low bank sandy beach slopes to the ocean from the oceanfront homes. Also off of Sunset Avenue you will find what is commonly known at ?The Boat Landing?, which along with a boat ramp is one of the best fishing holes in the area. Certain times of the year, you will find fisherman catching huge spring and fall Chinook Salmon. Cancellation policy: 1/2 the total cost of the booking is subject to forfeiture if reservation is canceled or changed within 30 days of arrival. 100% of rental rate is charged if cancelled (or no-show) within 7 days of arrival. If the house is fully rebooked by another renter, cancellation charges (less $35) will be refunded. Reservation cancellation fee is $35\. (If you book with a 3rd party, different charges may apply). As others have noted, the beach access is steep and sandy, so it's for the able-bodied. The kitchen is reasonably well equipped, and there's good light from the beach-side windows. We wished for a grill, and also there's not much of an outdoor space to "hang out" other than the small front deck on the driveway/river side. One guest was a little grossed out by some stains on the furniture upholstery. Slip covers would have taken care of that. Overall we had three adults and four kids, and we all had our space to enjoy ourselves, both together and apart. This is a good house. ##### David S. Just make sure youre checking your emails for instructions to sign the contract. The property was secluded and clean. Everything was easy to find in the house. Lots of towels! We were able to cook for a family dinner easily. Laundry was on property and easy to access. The walk to the beach was less accessible than what i could see in pictures. There is a sandy hill to climb at the back of the property. Its a great place to watch the sunset. If you want easy beach access go to pelican brewery just down the street. The town has a small grocery but is very expensive. Plan to bring in food. Overall we were happy and sad to leave! ##### Karla H. Everything was a bit worn, but I didn’t have expectations of it being otherwise. There is no view of beach which is too bad. But it’s close just up a sandy trail at the back of the house. There was plenty of room for everyone. The house was clean and simple. The kitchen was well stocked dishes and cooking supplies. My only minor complaint is that there is a large sand dune behind the house that blocks the view of the ocean. One morning some deer visited the dune and we enjoyed watching them, but we could not watch the ocean from inside the house. The beach is just on the other side of the dune. There is a bit of a steep drop on the beach side of the dune and access to the beach would be difficult for some people. We had a great time playing in the sand and climbing the dune to watch the ocean and the sunset. I would highly recommend this house if you don't mind climbing a dune to see the ocean! ##### Susan B. Our three days and nights were fun. The house is excellent for people being together--family meals and interaction in open spaces--and room for separation to sleep. We were near the beach and loved walking there and looking for shells. The only downside is that the spaces could have been cleaner. One boy found both a candy wrapper and and unopened candy bar under his bed. One of the adult women saw way too much dust under the bed as she did stretching exercises. ##### Mary Lou R. We had a good stay, but although listed as beach front, only the athletic had access to and from the beach. It was not clear that the beach view was blocked by a high dune. Some upgrades to the home were in place but more is needed. The house is not terrible, but I was disappointed from the listing description. ##### Peter N.
