My husband, daughter, and I were in town working on a wedding and spent our evenings at the property, and it truly felt magical. The space is not only beautiful, but incredibly interesting. You can tell so much care and time went into preserving and sharing the history of the place. We loved learning about the details and stories that make it so special. Every corner felt intentional, inviting, and full of character. If you are on the fence about booking this property, don’t hesitate. WE both want to come back and bring our daughters with us sometime. This home is an Ozark treasure. I honestly can't believe they are sharing it with the public. It's well stocked and charming. It is not ideal for anyone who needs one level though. Even the yard is breathtaking! If you like to antique shop the town has a lot to offer. Very convenient for anyone venturing over to Finley Farms to dine at The Ozark Mill, The Garrison or just to grab coffee and breakfast at The Workshop. House dates to 1855\. The original structure is relatively small by today’s standards but the added back porch makes the house feel larger. The kitchen and bathrooms have modern features but overall the house harkens to days long past and made me think of life in earlier, simpler times. Hosts are very responsive and provide a number of nice amenities for guests - we enjoyed chocolate chip cookies during our visit!
