It had many amenities that we didnt expect such as shampoos and soaps provided, snacks, travel guides, and beach towels. The beds were comfy! The neighborhood is quiet and quaint. The town is so cool! We spent a day in Oxford going to the park on the river, eating a yummy lunch from the deli at oxford market, riding the ferry, enjoying the little beaches, and having dinner on the water. The host was great with communication and answered all of my questions when trying to decide if this place would be right for us before renting. I spent a lot of time out there, as was the plan. The amenities are great if you are there long enough to be willing to buy a few consumables. I was only there for 4 days and felt that the provision of just a few things would have improved my short stay, such as kleenex, 409 for the porch table, decaf K-cups (luckily I brought my own), and kitchen scissors. The supply of hot water in the morning was barely adequate, but evening showers were better. It feels very private, although in a neighborhood, and easy and enjoyable walking distance to downtown Oxford, where there's a great deli and ice cream parlour. As someone else mentioned, I'd love to have outdoor lounge chairs. But given that I messed up our reservation (confused the nights I booked) and John rescued us, we are completely thrilled with our stay.
