If you're a golfer, the Monterra Golf Course is only a quarter-mile east (there are four other courses within a 12-mile drive as well). Warm months here are ideal for hiking and biking through the many scenic trails or exploring the many lakes while boating or fishing. Wintertime is a delight as well! Ontario is known for its many winter sports and recreational activities. Feel free to try any of the popular outdoor activities that include snowboarding, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. This area is also wonderful for hiking, rock climbing, and swimming, kayaking, and windsurfing on the shores of South Georgian Bay (Northwinds Beach is only two and a half miles north). THINGS TO KNOW The shared pool is typically open from just after Victoria Day Weekend in May through Labour Day Weekend in September. Dates are subject to change. This home is near but not associated with the Blue Mountain Resort. This property is managed by Vacasa Canada ULC. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. This rental is located on floor 2. Ski shuttle details: Please note: this home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in our Good Neighbor protection program. We called vacasa to explain our situation and see if we could push our stay from two night to one night due to extenuating circumstances, unfortunately Samantha who I spoke with said they could not be flexible and that she could not grant this request. On our arrival I found the unit was not easily accessible for disabled/handicapped people, and I wish this was something they listed. The mattresses were uncomfortable and it was unfortunate when we found stains all over the linen. The wood stained chair in the living room left stains all over our clothing after use. Also we woke up to the garbage truck at 6:20am Overall, I would not recommend the very uncomfortable stay. This unit was perfect for our family of four to getaway for a three night skiing vacation. Wonderful we could bring along our little dog too.
