« Not many options in Port Matilda, so we were lucky to find this place so close to the Marrasas Mountain Lodge. We were still able to get an Uber from state college. And swing into state college for breakfast and supplies. It was perfect for our family of 6. And we even hosted some friends after the wedding. The outside looked comfy but weather wasn’t cooperating (rain) to use it. Loved the blue white Penn state details. Host was super responsive with some last minute questions. »

« We had a girls weekend and went to the 100 Mile Yard Sale. This was the perfect place to relax after being on the go all day. Very nice firepit area and the creek by the house is so relaxing. Would definitely recommend! The owners were very nice and accommodating. They even recommended a nice place to eat. »

« Very comfortable and well cared for. Spiral staircase to large upstairs bedroom. Wood floors shining. Property is on a dirt road which is a bit rough but also, no traffic past the lodge and a good place for a walk. Though we brought our own food, there was a lovely plate of apple cake,cookies and loaf of homemade bread waiting for on arrival that we enjoyed. A nice touch. Only negative was limited silverware and a sauce pan would be nice. Overall, an enjoyable stay. No tv or internet but I used...

« Absolutely fabulous! We loved our stay at Oar House. The amenities were excellent; air con, kitchen fully stocked with utensils, large fridge/freezer, coffee maker (pod or filter), ample towels & bedding to name a few. Its a great location for venturing out to the nearby state parks and other attractions, so all in all we had a great time.
