Lots of privacy which was ideal for travelling with a dog who is reactive with other dogs, so we appreciated how truly secluded the property was. It was great to be able to relax for a couple of days with a view right on the river. We really appreciated our time at this property and thank the host for their hospitality. "

My room wad exactly as described; spacious, comfortable and clean. Kitchen was amazing and well stocked. I could easily have purchased groceries and cooked an entire meal. "After a harrowing drive through a thunderstorm, the tiny house was blessedly snug and dry. And though the house is indeed tiny, it's incredibly well stocked, with all the amenities. Scrupulously clean too, with beautiful grounds. "

"Beautiful chalet and beautiful property. Great accommodations for a family stay. We swam off the dock, used the kayak and used the hot tub once, even though it was a warm day. Very relaxing."

"We had a flood in our BNB which we booked back in February. Thankfully this cottage was available to cover part of our stay. The kids enjoyed the location and we were so grateful for enough beds for everyone to stretch out at night (myself with 3 kids, one being a teenager)! The hosts and neighbours were welcoming and kind. Would happily return if we are in the area again. Definitely quiet and peaceful pace of life where you can relax. Gas BBQ was easy to use. Kitchen was stocked. Linens were of great quality and clean. "

"We can not thank you enough for our dream vacation at the most wonderful location. We loved the very small town of Westmeath. The large cottage is superb in every way. It had a cool inviting sub level with bunk beds for kids to build memories, with movies and cards for late night. The Pond is brilliantly sculpted and had frogs and beautiful Lilli pads and a rare visiting mink. Kayaks and paddle boats were provided as well as cabanas. We fished from a safe platform and caught a few. A short bike ride to the coolest ‘Kenny’s” store, reminiscent of Godsey’s on the Waltons. This private spot is so brilliantly managed. Sunsets across the river over Quebec. Owner was a pleasure to meet. Morning nature walks with a one year grandson were amazing. Sorry to be long winded, but this spot uniquely takes your breath away."

"GREAT STAY. Dan and Lisa thought of everything. Stayed for a week during a heat wave at end of June. Cottage stayed nice and cool, river was very refreshing. Family room and bedroom downstairs perfect for teens to have their own space. Highly recommended."
