This splendid villa on the sea, characterized by a large appurtenant garden rich in Mediterranean plants (2000 meters) and private access to a sandy beach and beautiful rocky coves with turquoise water, is just a few minutes walk from the historic center of Otranto. The structure consists of 3 double bedrooms, 1 twin bedroom, and 4 bathrooms (complete). Outside there is a very impressive hot / cold shower. The house is on 2 levels. The ground floor opens onto a large terrace covered by American vine from which to enjoy one of the most beautiful views that Salento can offer. The terrace is furnished with typical garden furniture. On the ground floor, inside, there are the dining room with fireplace and vaulted ceiling, a living room / tv room with large windows overlooking the sea, 2 double bedrooms with en suite bathroom (complete with shower), 1 bedroom with two single beds , a second full bathroom with shower to service the floor, the external laundry room with washing machine and "pile" and the kitchen, with dishwasher. From the kitchen an ancient wrought iron door leads back to the large terrace, part of which is covered and is intended for outdoor dining overlooking the sea; in fact there is a large table for 8 people and a sideboard with everything needed for the table. At the side of this terrace, adjacent to the covered area, there is a magnificent stone barbecue. Also from the large terrace overlooking the whole garden, through a masonry staircase not covered, you enter the first floor, where there is a dependence completely independent consisting of: double bedroom with bathroom / shower relevance and balcony-terrace romantic sea ​​View. The large garden of relevance with lawn, pines, olive trees and ornamental plants, is equipped in various points with garden furniture, sunbeds and umbrellas. In some areas there are stone benches and ancient 'pile' planters of great value. Going through the garden to the private and shaded parking (4 cars), you get to the wrought iron gate: the private access to the beach below (0 mt) allows you to enjoy a beautiful free and unequipped beach, enclosed between the rocks that form a 'stirrup' ... hence the name of the beach and the very few villas that have easy access to this little oasis otherwise difficult to reach. Les photos sont identiques à ce que nous avons découvert à notre arrivée, la propriétaire a été très rapide si nous avions des questions. La maison est très belle (les chambres climatisées), le jardin splendide et l'espace de vie extérieur très agréable, autant la journée que le soir. The location is fantastic, with a beautiful garden and a lovely outdoor terrace that made relaxing and dining outside a real pleasure. It also benefits from the most lovely Beach Cove at the bottom of the Garden.The hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome — kindly allowing us to check in much earlier than usual and also letting us check out later due to our flight times, which gave us extra time to enjoy the property. Simona, who looks after the villa, was absolutely amazing and could not have been more helpful throughout our stay.There were a few practical challenges: the washing machine broke on our first day, and one of the ensuite taps gave way, but to their credit, Simona and Giulia had both issues resolved very quickly, with replacements and plumbers arriving the next day. The responsiveness was excellent.That said, some of the indoor facilities, such as the kitchen and ensuite bathrooms, felt a little dated compared to the outdoor spaces, and air conditioning wasn’t available in all the rooms. Given the premium price point, future guests might expect slightly more modern interiors and amenities. Overall, though, we had a lovely holiday here, and the setting, warm hospitality, and care shown by both the owners and Simona made it a very enjoyable experience. ##### RUPERT W. It has maybe the most magical location and terrace ever. However, given its cost, the landlord needs to spend a little money making some basic improvements. One toilet didn't fully flush. The dishwasher barely functioned (had to run twice to get things clean), a screen in a bathroom was broken and a main bedroom didn't have any screens and since the mosquitoes were bad at night we had to run the air conditioner despite a lovely evening breeze. Screens could fix this. The barbeque had no grill so was unusable. The oven in the kitchenette only worked if the stove clicker was on. The kitchen itself is only a galley kitchen. Die große Terrasse mit diversen Sitzmöglichkeiten lädt zum Verweilen ein, mit Sicht auf den Garten und das Meer. Am Ende des Gartens führt ein Tor direkt zum kleinen Sandstrand und auf die Klippen. Das Meer leuchtet in den Farben türkis bis dunkelblau, das Wasser ist kristallklar. Die Villa befindet sich in einem kleinen, abgeschlossenen Quartier, das durch ein automatisches Tor gesichert ist. Otranto ist nur wenige 100 m entfernt, ein Auto ist jedoch empfehlenswert. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und zuvorkommend, jederzeit erreichbar für gute Tipps von Ausflugszielen/Restaurants oder wenn sonst etwas sein sollte. Wir suchten ein Haus ohne Pool mit großem Garten und Strandnähe und sind so auf Giulia‘s Haus gestoßen. Der kleine wunderschöne Sandstrand ist in 2 Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Wir haben auch viel Zeit auf der schattigen Terrasse verbracht. Die schöne alte Villa ist stilvoll eingerichtet und die kleine funktionale Küche direkt angrenzend an der Terrasse.
