Explore the Grenimåsan and Aurstadmåsan nature reserves, for example. Other excursion destinations include the Haldenkanalen Regional Park, the beautiful capital city of Oslo and the Kongsvinger fortress dating back to 1682. You can also practice your swing on the nearby golf course or explore the cultural offerings. Fancy skiing in the middle of summer? It's less than 50 kilometers to Snø, where there is snow all year round. There you can go skiing, cross-country skiing or indoor climbing. There is also the Varingskollen Alpine Center, which is about 6 km away. The Nes ski and bike center is 1.8 kilometers away.
