My family and I could not check in as there were other guests staying in the room. The host was not responsible for the incident at all. It was after mid-night during the Japan golden week period. My family with small children and the elderly could not find a new hotel in for first night as all hotels were fully booked. Luckily, the Expedia staff, named Chada, was very supportive to find us a new place for the rest of the trip.
