New King and Queen beds in 2024\. The lush, tropical landscaping is immaculate and is 24 hour guarded and gated. Its tucked away from the major roads and you don't hear any traffic noise! Complex is Rated 4 stars. One of the nicest locations in Central Florida, Bahama Bay is great for both families and adults wishing to have the space and comfort of a vacation home and still being within 10 – 15 minutes drive to Disney World. You'll love returning to a quiet, amenity filled villa at the end of an exhilarating day! Our 1,227 square foot unit is on the 2nd floor and has two small patios. There's no one behind you as we overlook a quiet nature preserve. In 2023 we installed new vinyl plank flooring with luxury carpet in the bedrooms. We bought new leather living room furniture, and all new appliances including a fridge with fridge door water and ice dispenser. We installed a new air conditioning unit and have fans in every room. There are two larger bedrooms, one with a king bed and a queen in the other. The king has an attached bathroom and patio/balcony. The 3rd bedroom has two twin sized beds. For additional needs there is a pull out couch with an extra foam and two pack and plays. We also have a highchair and a baby swing for the little ones. There's a 50 inch flat screen tv in the living room and 32 inch flat screen TV's in all three bedrooms. Sleeps 6 – 8 comfortably. In-unit laundry facilities. We've decorated like we would at home and have all the kitchen accessories we have in our home. There's plenty of towels and you can request more if needed. We'll provide you with a "tip sheet" highlighting all the many restaurants and places to go (in addition to Disney) that are close to our condo. We even provide information on a less busy way to get into Disney. We're in building #17 - a one minute walk from the best pool area at the resort and one minute from Tradewinds Bar and Restaurant. The resort and all its amenities provides a holiday in itself whether you choose to go to theme parks or not. The resort offers beautiful, well kept grounds, nature trails, private white sand beach overlooking Lake Davenport, fishing dock, 4 heated swimming pools, 6 hot tubs, huge children’s splash pad, gas and charcoal barbecues, EV chargers, pickle ball, beach volleyball, basketball, shuffleboard, great walking trail around ponds, and tennis courts. Check out our photos and the video links to see! There is a 17,000 square foot clubhouse with full service spa and salon. Barbecues are a few minutes away; there's a fitness facility, public computers, DVD rental and children’s games room. Free Wi-fi access within the condo and at the clubhouse and pool areas. Many have said they really enjoy having their morning coffee overlooking the solitude of the nature preserve and seeing all the wildlife. Take a look at the resort map photo – we’re building #17 by the lake and close (but not too close) to the best pool in the complex. Other than cleaning at departure, maid service is also available at any time for an additional fee. Inside the condo you’ll find bed linens, towels, beach towels, dishes, cooking utensils, barbecue utensils, etc. We travel a lot and rent from multiple travel sites. In addition to great beds, cleanliness and location, three things are important to us that many places don’t have: 1\. great frying pan - we have four non-stick pans including an omelette pan 2\. enough hangers - we have 82 (yes, we counted them) 3\. lots of cooking utensils - check out the photo of our utensil drawer - we have lots. Groceries are close by (i.e. Publix or Aldi 5 mins away, 7-11 5 mins away). Gas, bank machines are bars are close by as well. The Margaritaville Waterpark and food and entertainment complex is 13 minutes away with free entertainment nightly. Everything you need for a comfortable stay with your family or friends is included. The condo is clean and well appointed (as pictured). There were plenty of towels and more sleeping space than we needed. My two favorite things were (in addition to the china) there was plastic plates, bowls, cups etc. Which is a great relief when you have children. The other was the location. THIS IS WHERE YOU WANT TO BE if you're staying at Bahama Bay Resort. You can walk to the restaurant, pool, volleyball and pier in less than 1 minute. The resort and amenities were so much fun for our family. The condo was just as advertised. It was clean and comfortable for our family. It is on the second floor which is advertised, but no elevator so that made it a little tricky with young kids and strollers. But it wouldn’t keep us from staying here again. While the location is farther from some parks, its lush surroundings and peaceful atmosphere were unmatched. It's such a great walking resort, I'm glad we had enough no-activity days to enjoy it. The condo is bright and clean, new cozy bedroom carpets; there's virtually no signs of wear and tear, it's impeccably maintained. All the beds were comfortable, and I'm picky. I appreciated that the beds and pillows all had protectors on them. There was even an extra blanket kept in a plastic bag in the closet, which is great when your spouse hogs the blankets. We never felt the need to close the curtains on the back side of the condo, as you can't see any neighbors. The private screened-in porch was a lovely bonus. The kids liked reading there, hearing the birds and watching salamanders that climbed the outside of the screens. The kitchen had everything needed to cook, which we appreciated since we cooked daily and packed picnics when we went out. (No icemaker though, but not an issue for us.)The bathrooms were neat, water pressure and heat were superb.The resort is calm, Coffee 24/7 at Guest relations, gym, library, playground nearby. The beds were comfortable, the family/TV area had enough seating for everyone, and the kitchen was well stocked. Like other reviewers, the people above us had some little folks who ran around pretty early in the morning, but I guess that’s par for the course in Orlando! Ken’s condo is an excellent home from home. As a couple we had more than enough space but you could easily fit 2 couples or a family in there. The condo is nicely set up with comfortable furniture and nice furnishings. We only prepared breakfast and snacks during our stay but there were plenty of pans and utensils had we wished to cook. The master bed was really comfortable so we slept well. The washer and dryer are modern and efficient. We loved the outlook onto the nature area. It was great to sit on the balcony watching wildlife without being overlooked - made it quieter. Bahama Bay is a beautiful resort with well maintained gardens and a lovely walk around the decorative lakes where you can see a variety of birds, turtles and small alligators. The resort was only partly occupied, even over Thanksgiving, which made it very quiet and no problem finding a sun bed on the beach and by the pool. The outlook from the beach is so relaxing! The resort location is great and you can reach the 192 or 27 within about 5 minutes for travel to shops, parks and restaurants. Ken is an excellent host. He communicates well and you feel that the quality of your stay at his condo is important to him. This was our first stay in a resort condo as we usually rent a villa with pool when with the whole family in summer but we would definitely return here as a couple, particularly at this quieter time of year. ##### Debbie H. Upon arrival, Bahama Bay staff were not at the desk. Took a couple minutes to get their attention. The unit itself was beautiful, clean and furnished nicely. Our first morning we were woken (5am) up by residents above us; we heard every movement. The smoke alarm was going off for 15 minutes (maintenance was able to disarm). Resort was wonderful; Unit itself was nice. Ken was great to work with. Unfortunately, Ken nor Bahama Bay, cannot control residents above. We were woken up every morning at 5am throughout our stay. We uses the pool with a clean beach with trees, typical laylanis right on the water. The pool was a 1 - 2 minute walk from our building. Inside was very clean and well kept. The kitchen had everything you need (ice maker wasnt on, but didn't need it ). The screened-in porch was narrow, but the view was private and very quiet. Most people respected the quiet hours, thank goodness! The last day someone arrived above us who must have been part concrete men, because the stomping was incredible-however there isn't anything that the host can do about that-and we were checking out that morning. Plently of clean towels, blankets, and a lot of great pool toys in the closets! I would definitely rent this place again! ##### Andrea T.
