Skywalker's Retreat is a ground floor unit, and as Star Wars fans will surely guess, it is themed throughout with Star Wars decor and images. It isn't every home in Florida that has Chewbacca standing there to greet you as you enter, but this one does! From the moment you walk in you will be in for a treat if you are a Star Wars fan. There are many items of merchandise and memorabilia scattered around the home as you can see in the pictures on this listing, but this condo has much more to it than that. This 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom ground floor condo in block number 3 of Windsor Hills. With 1246 sq ft of living area to enjoy it provides plenty of room to relax, while the resort amenities provide a host of options for those who are more energetic! Located about a one minute walk from the main clubhouse and pool area, complete with a superb water park, Skywalker's Retreat also comes extremely well equipped. Tastefully furnished throughout, excitement is the name of the game here. Each room has a unique appearance and the theme which runs through the home only adds to the glamor of this very sought-after property. It sleeps 6 people comfortably, and as with our other homes we do restrict occupancy to 6 to preserve the condition of the home. The bedrooms consist of 1 King size master bedroom with full en-suite facilities. The second bedroom is a Queen size bedroom and then we have the third bedroom, a bunk bed room with a Full size bed at the bottom and a twin on top! All the bedrooms have cable and flat screen TV's. Skywalker's Retreat also boasts a compact kitchen, spacious living room and dining area, and a laundry room with a full size washer and dryer. The main living area features a 55" smart flat screen television, perfect for watching a family movie, and with an upgraded cable package too, there are plenty of those available. \*Please note that the condominium also has high speed wireless Internet access, which is offered complimentary to all our guests. High speed wireless Internet access is also complimentary when you relax by the pool and waterslides. After enjoying a memorable day at the theme parks everyone will surely appreciate the well stocked kitchen with a dishwasher, microwave, full size refrigerator and freezer, stove, coffee machine, toaster, waste disposal on offer as well as all the hand held appliances you would expect. Windsor Hills Resort Windsor Hills is a beautiful, family-friendly, gated resort community in Kissimmee, Florida (south of Orlando). Situated only two miles from Walt Disney World® Resort, it’s located within easy reach of most of Orlando's top attractions. We had a great stay the first time and we had a great stay this time. The area is wonderful, about 25 minutes from Universal. And right across the street from a Walmart for easy groceries. It was just a couple of minutes walk to the main clubhouse/pool area. We liked that it was ground level- very convenient for carrying in packages. The walls however, are paper thin and we woke each morning to people talking out on the sidewalk or people moving about above us. That didn’t bother us too much as we are early risers anyways! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. It was wonderful having a washer and dryer in our unit. It was a short walk to the pool and basketball, tennis and volleyball courts. The vibe at the pool was relaxed and family friendly with music playing and the ability to take our own cooler of food and drinks with us was a plus. Our only complaints were that they need more chairs in the pool area because they filled up fast and the bathrooms in the condo could use updating, but were still great for us. I am not sure the condo was cleaned after the previous guests stayed there. Hair ties were found under the pillows in the bunkbed room, hair was in the master bathroom shower and debris on the floors. Overall the condo had ample space for my family to spread out and relax. Resort has a wonderful pool and water slides, game room, etc. Great location.However, there was quite a bit of black discoloration/mold at the bottom of the shower and outside the shower,stained bath and shower floors,large area of black stains on kitchen counter ressembling mold that could not be scrubbed off, nonworking lights on stove to distinguish oven temp.I tried to use the oven two times and had to try to find the temp I wanted by going higher and lower to guess what number I was on.Contacted owner afterwards and was informed it would be looked into.Owner had stayed in condo a couple of weeks ago but didn't seem to notice any of this.I am probably over picky about cleanliness but would not recommend this property.Bathrooms need updated and range needs repaired. ##### Deets D. This Star Wars themed retreat was perfect for all ages! It was located in an exceptionally convenient location for dual-park vacationers. The property was only 10-15 mins from Disney (dependent on park and traffic), 20-25 to Universal (also based on traffic), and 5 minutes to your grocery and basic necessities like Walmart, CVS, liquor store, etc. The beds were comfortable.There was even an unexpected trundle in the kids bedroom under the lower bed. I’m not sure where the comments about not having enough towels was from… there was more than enough if you simply opened the closets, as well as plenty of blankets and extra pillows. All the major cooking utensils and kitchenware were there and accessible. Communication and check in information was impeccable. Clear, comprehensive, and informative. We did not get the chance to sample the property’s features due to the 4 day whirlwind of parks, but from what I could see, we’re as described. Be aware that the light switches are super low. I would expect this is a feature for handicapped individuals. There is no separate pantry, just the space you make in the cupboards or countertop. 10/10 property and location. Its close to all the parks and entertainment in the orlando area, yet not the prices of staying on disney property. We love having space to spread out and the 3 bedrooms provided just enough. The condo was clean and nicely decorated. The host was very responsive to our questions. The development pool and splash pad kept the kids busy for hours. They have kids activities in the game room too. The game room is a bit expensive, but we went to fun spot for arcade games anyway. 10 out of 10 would stay here again. ##### traci d.
