« This was an adorable log cabin place, in a great location, and filled with amenities to keep people entertained. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit which was used at night and the lovely back porch & rocking chairs used in the morning. We did not feel that the place was super clean, the floors were dirty and dishes/utensils were also dirty and unorganized, we found old food in the refrigerator and inside an ottoman. « Pros first - We loved the decks, sitting outside, and the dock. The dock is brand new, big, and has deep enough water on one end for kids to jump and dive. We second the recommendation to bring a 10x10 tent to provide shade during the day. Paddleboards and canoe were great. Living space was large and open. Check in was easy, linens and bath towels were provided, and the house was clean. Cons - You absolutely cannot do laundry due to iron in the water. Laundry will be stained; in fact, our skin...

« We had the best weekend. My only concern is the road condition getting there. We got a flat tire from a rock on the hill and ended up stranded at the house. Thank goodness it was stocked with everything g we needed for a great day. »

« I enjoyed the giant tub. My kids thouroughly enjoyed the game room. The bedrooms and blankets are top notch and super soft. I loved laying on the back porch furniture couch. « This is a great house for a large family and has a great layout and everyone had a great time. However, it's definitely in need of some deep cleaning. There are a lot of dead flies, mosquitoes and spiders towards the top of the high ceilings in the kitchen and living areas. The exterior needs to be power washed, a lot of debris in the yard and the grass had not been mowed in some time. We used the debris in the yard to burn in the fire pit. « We can't say enough about this beautiful property. We planned our trip so we could spend some time together as a family before dropping our daughter off to JMU. The house is beautiful, the views are spectacular. It's a very peaceful location, but also close to many breweries and wineries. We enjoyed the fenced in back yard for our dog, Neo. He was in heaven too. Doug, the proprietor, was wonderful & accessible. We can't wait to come back!! »

« This property worked well with our family. We had family reunion events in surrounding towns. We were 15-20 minute drive to most. Evenings were quiet and saw fireflies after dark. »
