Orange Beach is a family-friendly beachfront town. Some activities include: charter fishing boats, boat & jet ski rentals, para-sailing, dolphin cruises, sunset sailboat cruises, beautiful back bays for boating, tubing, skiing and fishing, amusement parks, great restaurants with entertainment for all ages, golf, outlet malls, shopping, live concerts at The Wharf Amphitheater, and of course, plenty of powder-white sand.

Fantastic beach stay!

This place is great! Plenty of space for our family of 4. Everything was clean. Make sure to bring your own beach towels and beach chairs (otherwise it’s 45/day to rent two chairs with an umbrella). I loved that we didn’t have to take the elevator and could just walk right from the parking lot to our unit. Only con: the master bed squeaks very loudly any time someone moves or gets out of bed. This was very frustrating for my husband and I.

Great stay

We had an easy time checking in. Everyone we spoke to was so pleasant. Our fridge went out one evening and within 30 minutes someone was there for cooler and extra ice to make sure we didn’t lose any food. Very prompt and was very much appreciated!! I didn’t like the extra fee for parking that was over 100 and was not expected or told about in any paperwork.

The property was very clean, beds were very comfortable, and the pullout sofa was great for providing extra sleeping space for grandchildren. The property was well stocked with dishes, cookware and utensils. Access to the beach and pool were great. Thoroughly enjoyed our family getaway.

Things we didn't like

the overall stay was great, and we enjoyed our time there and would consider renting again, however the things that were a bit disappointing. We have stayed at several VRBRs and never had to worry about the small things like condiments, paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags, with the amount we are paying those items were always provided and we were taken back on the number of items we needed to buy to better enjoy our stay. When we arrived, there was no one to tell us how to enter the unit until we spoke with the guard yes it was a holiday, and we understood this building was on vacation just let other know coming in that there might be some changes to the accommodations during holiday weekends I give you a 5-star rating because it was a great time, and we are not needy people. Just wanted to provide you with some honesty

COULD USE UPDATING

WE LOVE THE PHEONIX 6 AND HAVE STAYED HERE PREVIOUSLY. THIS CONDO WAS A BIT DATED. I'M NOT A FAN OF CARPET AT THE BEACH AND THE FURNISHINGS WERE VERY WORN. THE HOUSEKEEPING COMPANY DID NOT CLEAN. THE CARPET HAD NOT BEEN VACCUMED, THE KITCHEN HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED AND THE BALCONY HAD TRASH AND SAND ALL OVER IT. WE HAD TO HAVE HOUSEKEEPING RETURN TWICE TO CORRECT THESE ISSUES. OVER ALL WE HAD A GOOD TIME. THE CONDO WAS VERY SPACIOUS AND THE LOCATION WAS GREAT!

Great for big families

We had a great stay. Very spacious, with many beds for the whole family. We had four adults and five small children. The kids loved the pool and we loved the easy access to the beach. Nice pool & beach view for it to be first floor. We had no issues. Only thing that could be updated is the removal of carpet under dining room table. We were a little stressed having the kids eat over light color carpet.

Very convenient to parking lot. Carpet was not clean and hair dryer in guest bathroom was just double side tape which came off. View of ocean was great. Overall a good unit.

Overpriced

For the price we paid for this place, I expected a higher quality. The front door was so difficult to open and close, my 80 year old mother could not do it alone. The drawer in the refrigerator was broken and unusable. The trash bag left in the trash can was so flimsy and did not fit properly in the can, so it was useless. The appliances were so cheap that many of them did not work, like the can opener and the peeler. The patio was a nice size and the beds were comfortable, but the ceiling fan in the main bedroom squeaked at night which kept us from sleeping well. We enjoyed our trip, but the place was not worth the money paid.
