All the restaurants, coffee shops, brewpubs, an art gallery, and a pottery studio are also within easy walking distance. Music enthusiasts can bring instruments and attend one of the various open mic nights on the island. Explore the other San Juan Islands thanks to the convenient inner island ferry system. From the privacy of your home, watch for whales, bald eagles, and other wildlife, or set off on adventures on the water from the nearby pier. You will need to take a ferry to Orcas island unless you bring your own boat or plane. There is a place to moor your boat at the rental home. Its proximity to the water, the Co-op next door, and the quick drives to beautiful hikes and quaint downtown made it the perfect weekend getaway location. We loved eating meals on the back patio and drinking coffee on the front porch.
