It took more than 20 minutes to drive 5 km because of the terrible road condition. We were given inadequate instructions to enter the property using a key code. The house is smaller than expected and lacked kitchen essentials such as butter, cooking oil, cutting boards, water pitcher etc. The tap water stank of sulphur, so we had to boil the water to get rid of the smell so we could drink it. It smelled so bad, we were unable to take showers. There were dvds available to view, but no cable or satellite tv. The towels were stained, the kitchen tap was loose, the countertops were stained. The view of the cove was beautiful. The trail to Grates cove is not worth doing. The skerwink trail is beautiful, but you do have to drive 4 km back down on the awful gravel road to reach it. Make sure you bring Al, the food you need."
