Young baboons were swinging from tree branches, hiding in the bushes, and curiously observing us, while the parental baboons kept close watch. This photogenic baboon sat still and stared at us for the longest time with those piercing golden brown eyes. Before long, he too was off running and playing and dangling in the trees with his brothers and sisters and cousins. Our own little baboons (the safari kids) were soon hanging from the inside of the safari vehicle mimicking their acrobatic skills. It was a treat to watch them all playing and having fun. We came upon several graceful long necked creatures while on our evening safari drive. There is something magical about watching the giraffe at sunset with the intense colors of both the sunset and the oranges of the animal. Challenging to get good crisp photos at this time of night, we started playing with the light instead to get some funky shots.
